Liked: ADORED this site. A beautiful site in a beautiful location with beautiful staff. The lovely man in reception was so welcoming, showing me around the site and placing me on a nice pitch where my little car camper wouldn’t feel overwhelmed by all the big motor homes. The facilities are amazing, super clean and modern and plenty of showers/toilets/sinks. Loved this site!

Liked: The walks were amazing, there is a variety of them, including a walk to the smiddy shop and doune castle. Campsite was quiet, clean, well maintained. The staff were so friendly and helpful, special mention to Lindsay and Paul who were amazing! Choice of pitches which was amazing, had incredible little huts which is definitely the next stay! Play park was well maintained and plenty to do on it so kids would have fun.

Liked: Fantastic site to relax in. Site is within a large walled garden and the bird song is so relaxing. 2 of our grand kids stayed with us for a night and they also loved it. Playground was in another area to where we were but it was good for the kids

Liked: Liked everything about the place, from the pitch, to the kids play park, the friendliness of the staff, the cleanliness and layout of the toilet blocks. My wife and my 2 young children thoroughly enjoyed our stay, especially couple with the multi-entry pass for the Safari Park.
Will definitely return soon and I’ve highlight recommended it to my parents, as it’s a perfect site for all ages.

Disliked: Motorhome service area is not of expected standard in this day and age and have not been upgraded in the 10 years that we have been coming to this site. Toilets were a bit messy later in the day and would benefit from more frequent inspection/cleaning especially when site is particularly busy.
Hi, Im sorry to hear that your are disappointed with some aspects of your stay. Our motor home service area was upgraded 2 years ago where another on road grey water drain was added to make this procedure easier, so an upgrade there. Also the chemical toilet facility where made slightly larger at that time as well. Our service points meet the required stranded as laid down by the local authorities.
Regarding the toilets. These as you probably know are spotless when cleaned as nearly every review will testify to but no facility can be monitored for 24 hours a day. I personally check the site including the toilet block nearly every night and if I find something needs a wee clean up I do it. The site was only half full on the night of your stay so being busy was not the problem. People who dont care about other people are the problem not the site or the staff.
