Set amongst the beautiful mountain scenery of the Afan Forest Park, the Glyncorrwg Ponds makes an ideal base for exploring the surrounding countryside. The site can cater for 30 touring caravans or 60 tents with generous flat pitches and hook ups for six caravans or campervans. In 2004 a new purpose built centre and over 100km of mountain bike trails were opened and Glyncorrwg become a world renowed mountain bike destination attracting over 100,000 visitors since 2003. For those not wishing the adrenaline rush of riding the trails and prefer to spend time at a more leisurely pace, why not spend a perfect tranquil day fishing at some of the most picturesque ponds in Wales or explore the hidden beauty of the Upper Afan Valley, along 50 miles of way marked walking trails. When the day draws to a close and the sun gose down the low levels of light pollution around the ponds makes Glyncorrwg an excellent "Dark Sky Discovery" site and is the ideal base to marvel at the planets, Milky Way and the billion of stars, arching across the night sky.

From the M4 take J40 signposted for Cwmafan along the A4107. Once you reach Cymmer, turn left for Glyncorrwg. The Glyncorrwg Ponds Visitor Centre is two miles up the valley on your left
