Unpowered grass site

Liked: Immaculately maintained site with excellent facilities. Didn't meet any of the people who run it, but there was a nice vibe to the place. The Malvern hills are just in sight beyond the stables.

Disliked: Hardly a 'dislike' but there is a road running alongside the far side of the site. Fairly quiet, with next to no traffic at night. It's good to be aware of it before booking in case you get upset by that sort of thing.

Liked: Everything. Great location, tranquil, and everything there was advertised. There was a minor issue on arrival, allocating two customers to the same Pitch, but this was literally resolved within minutes. Great customer service. Easy to see how this site was previously a pitchup award winner, they proudly presented their sign/award.

Powered grass and gravel site

Liked: A fantastic little camping site for adults. The facilities were very clean and well maintained, the showers were hot without waiting. The horses were a pleasure to watch & every time we heard the donkey we had a giggle :) I would strongly recommend the site and we shall definitely be back at some point. Owners were great with communication & the local pubs were full of friendly people :) I have seen a few people complaining about noise from the road, it really isn’t that bad and throughout the night it’s quiet.

Powered grass and gravel site

Liked: We found the site really nice. We did enjoying looking at the horses & waking up to animal noises ( did we hear a donkey?). I liked the showers, we didn't use them as we use our own in the van. We booked an extra night as we did enjoy our stay.

Disliked: No separate waste disposal, we assumed that was still a thing?. its quite heavy to lift it up to empty it. Did not like that the toilets windows/ceiling were not dusted or cleaned as there were spiders & spiders webs around.

Unpowered grass site

Liked: Lovely views, clean facilities, quiet atmosphere with footpaths nearby to walk into the Old Hills.

Disliked: Could perhaps do with another washing up sink and a label to say whether the water from the sink is drinking water or not.

Local attractions

Worcester (15 minutes’ drive) is a good place to start for a taste of the area – head here for cathedral visits, riverside walks, museums and days of horse racing or cricket. If you’re a classical music aficionado, stop by at The Firs (10 minutes) to visit local boy Edward Elgar’s birthplace – or follow the 37-mile Elgar Route to take in all sorts of snippets of the great composer’s life. For a bit more of the area’s history, take trips to the National Trust estate Croome (25 minutes) to find out about its chequered past, or take a wander around the grand rooms and gorgeous grounds of Eastnor Castle (half an hour). You’ll get a good glimpse into the area’s traditional architecture over at Upton-on-Severn (15 minutes) too – especially if you drop in for a pint in one of its several olde-worlde pubs. Brought the kids along on holiday? Take them to ride tractors and meet cute animals at Newbridge Farm Park (half an hour) or buy yourselves a bit of quiet time as you lose them in the Worcester Maize Maze (five minutes). Travelling without tiddlers? Try the tipples at Lovells Vineyard (15 minutes) instead.
