General
- Peaceful park with fishing on the banks of the River Teme
- A 10-minute drive from Ludlow and 30 from Hereford
- Haven for hikers, anglers and birdwatchers; dog friendly
Make yourself comfortable at Westbrook Farm Park, a family-friendly site in Little Hereford, a 10-minute drive from the foodie town of Ludlow in Shropshire.
This pretty site is on the banks of the Teme River, and is well placed for waterside explorations: there's over half a mile of river for fishing, waterside walks (with or without canine companions) and idle times on the site seating or around the picnic tables. Keep your eyes peeled too to spot the birds that flit all around; ducks, herons and kingfishers all have their homes here.
Venturing into the surroundings, there are hikes, bike rides and horse riding canters to tackle: the site is 15 minutes from the Grafton Farm Equestrian Centre and walking and cycling trails in the Mortimer Forest, and 20 minutes form Wheely Wonderful Cycling, 20 minutes away. If none of this appeals, an information hut next to reception is full of suggestions for places to see and places to eat and drink nearby... send the kids to the playground, and settle down with a cup of tea or coffee while you consider your options.

The walks around the orchards, Toilets and showers were spotless …

Thank you for leaving your review . Normally the shower cubicles have shower curtains and they are heated , as we all know this year has been far from normal . We followed guidance both from the government and the British Holiday & Parks Association. By removing the curtains and keeping the doors and windows open to allow air to circulate. With the doors being open there was no benefit in putting heating on . We accept this may have caused some inconvenience but for this year our priority was to keep everybody safe , hopefully next year the curtains will be back and the heating on All our pitches are hardstanding some have a meter gravel path and then grass and some have wider gravel and less grass. The reason for the path is so that people who are not using an awning can have have access to their door without having to walk on the grass. Both pitch types are suitable for awnings and we will lend extra rock pegs if required if the awning is not being used on the grass . Our Children's play area is suitable for children up to the age of 12 it is not huge but we find perfectly adequate for the children to enjoy . We also have a football pitch where any sort of ball game can be enjoyed by the family . Again in normal times in the summer months we also put out table tennis and Badminton and a basket ball hoop (with racquets bats and balls etc ) ) You are correct in saying we do not allow cycling around he park . The children's safety is vey important to us , we have lots of corners with high hedges so it is not safe for the children ( as per replies on previous reviews) There is a lovely walk from the site along the river and through the fields . |
