General
- Adults-only site in a secluded hill setting
- Small, peaceful and easily accessible from Craven Arms
- In an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty nine miles from Ludlow
Perhaps you’re a put-upon parent. Or an anguished auntie. Or one of those people who are scared of kids (well, they do ask such peculiar questions and also loudly point out one’s apparent weirdness in public). Or perhaps you are fond of small people but only in small doses. Whichever category you fall into, if you’re looking for an adults-only space for your hols, Greenway Touring and Glamping Park should fit the bill.
(And if the thought of any other humans at all is making you shudder, Greenway is in the Corvedale hills in the Shropshire Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty with miles of solitary walks and sightseeing in all directions.)
The park is small, friendly and peaceful but is easily accessed a couple of miles along the B4368 from Craven Arms, is nine miles from historic Ludlow and is within reach of the Welsh border for days’ worth of grown-up sightseeing and shopping. It's well landscaped and on a gentle slope.
Craven canine company? Dogs are welcome to join you in some parts of the site.

Lovely place
From the manager...
Free WIFI is available from the house (there are signs in the information hut, washing up area and house porch to this effect). As an adults only site we have to ask guests to sign a disclaimer before giving them the WIFI code. |

A friendly, peaceful site with excellent facilities.
From the manager...
We are a quiet rural site with noise kept to a minimum after 11pm out of consideration for other guests and our neighbours. |
|||||
Excellent site with basic but excellent facilities.
From the manager...
We are a small independent rural site set in the rolling Corvedale Hills, which provide a stunning living landscape backdrop to the site. |
|||||
From the manager...
We do have generous size pitches as we like guests to be able to site their unit / tent in a manner that makes the most of the views of the rolling Corvedale Hills and the gentle slope of the site. |
|||||
From the manager...
We do try to be flexible in terms of arrival and departure times, but this does depend on the time of year guests are on site. During peak periods late checkout can be arranged whilst guests visit the area, however, the caravan or motorhome may need to be parked on site away from the original pitch. We are pleased that you enjoyed your short stay with us and hope that you will return. Thank you for your kind words. |

Excellent place to stay.
From the manager...
On site we are blessed by being surrounded by the living landscape provided by the Corvedale Hills and our guests do appreciate the stunning views. Thank you for your kind comments regarding our facilities as they are checked and cleaned several times a day. We look forward to welcoming you back to Greenway. |

Excellent clean and fresh facilities Quiet and friendly campsite Really …
From the manager...
Thank you for your kind comments. We do work hard at keeping the facilities clean and fresh, they are cleaned and checked on a regular basis, but can only stay as clean as the next person leaves them. Although the majority of guests do leave the facilities as they would like to find them. Being adults only, our site is quiet and friendly allowing our guests to relax and enjoy the beautiful surroundings. |

Local attractions
Fans of history of all sorts will be in heaven here: Stokesay and Ludlow Castle are both nearby and the famous Ironbridge Gorge set of museums are within half an hour’s drive.
Craven Arms is the starting point for all sorts of Shropshire sightseeing, but stick around the town for a bit first to take in both modern history and popular culture at the Land of Lost Content, the world’s biggest archive of pop culture items from the twentieth century. Perhaps that’s where your Rubix Cube went…
Craven Arms is also home to the Shropshire Hills Discovery Centre for virtual drone flights over the hills, mammoth-meeting and all sorts of info on the history of the hills. A famous local landmark, Flounders Folly, is just north of the town.
The 30 acres of the Onny Meadows start just outside the discovery centre with waymarked walking and bike trails including the Shropshire Way. Mountain biker? Head for Hopton Wood, the main mountain biking centre in Shropshire with three downhill trails and a warm-up loop.
There are gardens, a limestone quarry and a trout fishery in the grounds of Delbury Hall, just outside Craven Arms between Much Wenlock and Ludlow, with heaps more history in nearby Shrewsbury. The National Trust’s eighteenth-century mansion and deer park Attingham Park is here, as is the Norman Shrewsbury Castle with the Shropshire Regimental Museum. Plus over 600 listed buildings, medieval cobbled streets, and one of the tallest church spires in the country…
The market town of Ludlow in the Welsh Marches is another historic spot to spend a day or two, with a side trip to Ludlow Racecourse almost a must: well, horse racing is the ancient sport of kings. There are traditional, farmers’ and flea markets in Ludlow for further lightening of the wallet.
And then north to Church Stretton… stop off at the Acton Scott Estate with its historic working farm to see how farmers did it in yesteryear, try the archery for which the town is famous, or take off from the high hills of Long Mynd for hang gliding, gliding and paragliding; one of the highest golf courses in the country is here too.
