General

  • Well-kept site in scenic countryside near Skegness
  • Peaceful but close to seaside amenities
  • Two fishing lakes, friendly family team and well-kept facilities

Off to Skeggy? Make a champion decision to stay in peaceful rest in the countryside between days at the beach, with a stay at The Laurels at Addlethorpe.

As a chuffed former guest chuffedly pointed out, the park is the best of both worlds, close enough to Skegness (three miles) to get there without any faff, but far away enough to be away from maddening crowds and any accompanying din.

Settle down here to use the site as a base for Skegness, Ingoldmells and the Lincolnshire coast, or just to chill out in peace in the scenic countryside: if you're up for a bit of the latter, you'll probably also like the park's two fully-stocked fishing lakes at which to get contemplative…

The park covers 18 acres so there's heaps of space for all, and everything is kept an eye on by the friendly family team which goes out of its way to make sure everyone has a champion stay. Amenities are immaculately kept and include a toilet block with hot showers, a launderette and a drying room.

Please note

Tents are not accepted at this park.

What a wonderful find! Such a lovely clean site with great facilities and friendly hosts. We are not into fishing but lakes looked very inviting and obviously popular with both match and casual fishermen (and ladies!).

Nicely laid out with good dog walk (well away from fishing lakes (2 labradors!!) and a great cooked breakfast available as well which was a real bonus.

Well away from the noise of Skegness and Ingomells but close enough to pop into the nearby stores including a great caravan spares shop which was very handy (broken water pump).

Choice of cottages, lodges or touring sites ( would make a great seasonal base as well).

The location was perfect. Not too far away but felt like the middle of nowhere. Gorgeous sights and plenty of walks for the dog.

    Disliked:

The toilet/shower blocks were fantastic. Looked like brand new.
We all disliked the fact that you had to pay for the shower. Yes it was only 50p but the machine was round the corner from the the actual shower cubicles which meant you had to get undressed, wrap yourself in a towel, come out of the cubicle, put your 50p in, get back in the cubicle and finally shower. The shower only lasted 4 to 5 minutes which is long enough for a quick wash but if you're a woman and wanted to wash your hair then you're in trouble. I was in the middle of conditioning mine when it ran out. Luckily enough I had another 50p but this meant wrapping myself in a towel, exiting the shower, putting another 50p in etc etc etc. There should be an option of putting more than 1 50p in at a time! The showers were also set at a certain temperature and you had to keep pushing the button to keep the water flowing. No lighting in the showers either! Such a shame as everything else was perfect.

Lovely family run site with owners always around if you needed them but not in your face, toilets and showers very clean at all times. Super sized fully serviced pitches around the lakeside. Good sized dog walk with grass well manicured not left alone as a lot of dog walks often are.

    Disliked:

The constant humming of the hot tub on the adjacent lodge.
Little disappointed to pay extra for adult only ( no families) pitch lakeside to find that this apparently does not apply to the lodges which are positioned amongst the tourers, having said that it did not distract from an excellent site and would happily return.
    Wifi very hit and miss.
