Everything couldn't fault anything spent quite a while talking to the beautiful alpacas on site together with goats, sheep and rabbits. Excellent location and super dog friendly. Definitely coming back soon.

Everything!!! We had an amazing stay. Our pitch was perfect, close to toilet and water. We looked onto a field of sheep, lambs and goats. Everything was spotlessly clean. The shower was absolutely perfect, really good hot shower. The cafe served the absolute best gourmet burger under the disguise of just a burger. It was amazing. Breakfast too. You cannot get better. All local. The whole place is doggie friendly, even the cafe which has lots of treats for your four legged companion. When we let our dog out in the morning she ran to get to the cafe. There are safe enclosed fields, one to hire or a communal field for free. Agility field you can hire for an amazing price of £16, dip and dive too. There are alpacas in a field too that you can book to take for a walk. All in all a perfect place to stay. Everyone is extremely friendly and very helpful. Thank you for making our stay a happy one. We will return with my mum!

Absolutely loved our stay, we are newbies at camper van holidays, this was our first journey out. Campsite lovely, clean and quiet, perfect for the dog. Toilets, showers and washing up areas were spotless. We booked this for a place we could take and walk the dog, he was in his element, allowed off lead, went swimming in the dip and dive doggy pool (has to be booked, cost £15 for 30 minutes, we’ll worth every penny). Surrounded by sheep, baby lambs, goats and alpacas. Tea room, offering breakfast rolls etc, lunch, afternoon teas can be booked.
Really couldn’t fault this camp site at all. We will definitely be returning.

Great dog friendly campsite. Loads of open space for the kids and dogs to run around. Nice, clean shower and toilet facilities. We loved the extra activities on site for Easter such as the Easter trail and craft activities for kids. The dog friendly cafe is great and we loved the pupcakes. :-)

    Disliked:

It would have been nice if the cafe opened slightly earlier when lots of people are staying on site as we would have had breakfast there, but 10am was too late for us.

This was my first trip of the year - booked when the sun was out and wearing shorts...

The actual days were bright and sunny but the nights were sub-zero, which was an adventure!

Walnut Tree Meadow is a lovely country site - quiet, clean, mostly very level pitches and very chilled. I have stayed here a few times now and really like it. The owners are always very friendly and make a point of chatting to campers.

A farm-site there is lots to see and do - the location is also incredibly dog friendly. The local town is easily within walking distance and the site owners have created off-road paths across their land to make this safer. The cafe is a welcome facility too offering good coffee lovely cakes and great bacon butties.

The site gets booked-up quite quickly during the season - there are only a few pitches and it is such a great place to stay.

Heartily recommended and I hope to be back later this year - hopefully with the warmer weather!

Nothing -this is a lovely site.

The single shower is probably the weakest point but I have never had any real issues (though it could prove a bottle-neck if there were many guests).

lovely little site, with only 6 pitches. Its a working farm, with lots of dog friendly activities going on all day.
2 toilets in the Pitch area, and use of the one indoor one as well, which is next to the shower room. Wash up area was simple but clean.
Owners were very friendly as were the tea room staff.

    Disliked:

Tea room was closed on Tuesday - but more staff being recruited. No big drama for us.
