I loved this site. Excellent location, close to the beach and the Ski Bar just a 5 minute walk away was perfect.

Loved the campsite and the gelato/coffee shop. Toilets were clean and not too busy and shower facilities were excellent. Lovely location - weather not great for us but we had a great run about on the beach anyway, lovely that the beach is so close to the campsite

£15 to bring dog seems very expensive compared to other sites

The site was a lovely place to stay and the lady who welcomed us upon our arrival was friendly and helpful and seemed like she really enjoyed her work there. The pitch we stayed on was perfect for us and our puppy (pitch 26). There was plenty of room on the pitch and plenty of space on the site to walk around. We mainly used our own facilities, but I did venture into their shower block on one occasion and was not disappointed. Each cubicle is a whole wet room, loads of space, with a toilet, sink and hanging space with a bench. The weather was good whilst we were there, but there were radiators in each cubicle which I suspect would be on if the weather had been cooler. There is a little hut on site that sells handmade icecreams (which were lovely) and tea, coffee, hot chocolate etc.
There was some work being done on far side of the site, making new hard standing which I understand are going to be used for seasonal pitches. The work being carried out though did not interrupt our time there in the slightest.
Just through the pathway on the site and over a little quiet roadway, is the beach/estuary. When the sea was out, we took a lovely couple of long walks along the beach towards Silecroft, although we did not get that far!
Another lovely walk was along the outer wall of the old quarry, around the aqua park and Hodbarrow RSPB Reserve, passing a lovely little beach (Emilia's Real Beach) and a couple of derelict lighthouses on the way.
We also spent a lovely few hours at the Millom Heritage & Arts Centre which is free to enter but we did leave a donation as the centre was very interesting and the staff running it were friendly and helpful.
We will definitely be returning to this site!

Just a note, that there is no wifi on site, but they are thinking of setting it up. It suited us though, we just used our 4G when we needed it!

Great place to stay,very spacious pitches,friendly staff,made us very welcome.Toilet and shower block excellent,clean and spacious.

The site was very clean and well-kept, the toilet and shower facilities were great, the staff were very friendly and helpful... but the most fantastic part was the onsite icecream parlour! The icecream was delicious, and the Nutella-stuffed cookies were incredible!

The site is right next to the beach, there's a lot of lovely walking paths, and an RSPB reserve, so lots of interesting birds to see.

There's a nice cafe/restaurant just around the corner, and a waffle van which parks up right at the beach too.

Good space between pitches, ice cream shop on site, pub within easy walking distance and shop , shower block excellent.
