They kept us really informed about the changing weather & were very flexible.
Great that we could drive a few minutes & use a nearby pool.

We camped and the Park was excellent, great amenities and close to the beach. Well worth visiting.

We’ve camped at Golden Cap three times - first two times on a serviced pitch and last week stayed on a non electric pitch on Big Berries. We chose our pitch very carefully last week as the forecast for strong wind looked pretty hectic. We pitched at the far right hand corner hugging the hedge as much as possible! There were far better views from the top of the hill but we decided it would be safer to pitch lower down. Big berries is on a slope but was manageable. The porta loos in the middle field was a godsend for some of my kids at nighttime but mostly we chose to walk to the really nice facilities which was exactly 0.45km from our pitch! The shower, toilet, laundry and washing up facilities were spot on. Free freezers to use for ice blocks were extremely handy. Always take enough blocks to rotate - some in the freezer and some in the cool box. We actually preferred Big Berries because of the amount of space available compared to the serviced pitches. The Anchor Inn always a delight 😁

Could possibly do with a warden walking around as the 10pm ‘quiet time’ wasn’t really adhered to by some campers 🙄

Men’s toilets were generally clean and hot water most of the time.
Women’s toilets were not so clean.
Good for easy access to the coastal paths

Had high winds as the camping field is rather exposed. During the night a few people abandoned their tents for shelter, it would be good to advise people a high wind tent is required.

Easy to access, once you navigate down the single track road to the site. As campers with no electric hook up, we drove round to the field and through the APNR barrier to choose our pitch. Other campers were friendly, as were the staff who came around each day to stock the toilet rolls and hand towels up. The beach was a short walk back down to reception and beyond, with The Anchor pub serving great food at a reasonable price.
