Disliked: Only slight issue my husband had is there is a big slope all round lake 2. Did entertain me as I kept imagining him rolling in 😂😂

Liked: This site is well kept and the owners are very helpful we managed to pitch the caravan next to the peg we had booked via swim booker fishing was slow but managed a nice 27lb cat while we was there.The Shepard huts and cabins look really nice and are well spaced out.the site was very quiet at night and no light pollution so star gazing was good.

Liked: Fantastic and friendly staff. Quick and easy check in. Clean room and good view overlooking the water. Clean shower and toilets.Lovely spacious cafe and bar.
Disliked: Fishermen tent pitched a bit too close to our hut had people staring at you as we stepped out the door.
There's a lovely cafe but the coffee was not good at all, no alternative milk, hopefully in the future they can upgrade will make a world of difference to customers.
Hi thank you for taking the time to leave us a review. We are glad your shepherds hut was up to standard and clean however we a little upset to hear about your dislike to the coffee. When we first opened we had over 50 people do a coffee tasting session and finally settled on a Brazilian Rijo red coffee bean, if you read our reviews for Hubbles you'll find most people comment on how nice our coffee is and we have one couple who drive nearly an hour just for the coffees! If you had have told one of the staff in the cafe at the time they would have happily swapped it for something else. I do believe its all down to personal preference so perhaps it just didn't suit your taste buds. We offer a very wide range of hot drinks from tea, coffee, chocolate, fruity and herbal versions and do everything in a de-caffeinated option too. We don't offer alternative milk as from a business point of view throwing away unused milk each week is an absolute waste and we decided to do away with it.
Also when you booked online it states very clearly that you are right on top of a lake and in the pictures it also shows you are on the lake, the other giveaway is that you are staying at a fishing lake so where there is a lake there is fishing. If you wanted something a bit more private then we also have another 12 options of accommodation to suit your needs. We hope this clears things up for you.
