Liked: Absolutely stunning location, amenities were clean and plenty of them. Super helpful before we arrived. Small to medium campsite, with pitches spaced nicely apart, so we had a decent amount of space to ourselves.
Far enough away from the nearest town to feel secluded, but close to local shops in case you need somethingDisliked: None!

Liked: Views, quiet of the site during the day, easy access to walking and cycling paths from the site.
Disliked: Loud music from the bar in the evening carrying to all the pitches making the experience a lot less peaceful.

Liked: I booked this site without reading much about it, but it looked nice on PitchUp. I couldn't have been happier with it. There were 3 of us; two in campers, one in a tent, one monstrously large dog.
The views from the camping field are beautiful. It is a bit of a walk to the toilets/showers but so worth it for the view. Field isn't level, but we didn't find it a problem.
The owners were so lovely and accommodating, and we discovered that on the weekend they have a burger bar open in the day, a bar and they were also doing wood fired pizzas. We had brought our own food so didn't purchase any from the site but the pizzas looked amazing.
There was a small washing up area, toilets and a shower block. The shower rooms were very spacious and the showers were very clean. Only showered once but the water was hot.
There are mountain biking trails almost running through the campsite with a variety of different grades.
Disliked: Nothing.

Liked: Second stay here. The site is spotless and really well maintained. Food was lovely, staff were friendly and helpful, and the new park was a huge hit with the children. We love the remoteness and the views too.

Being located in the heart of Afan Forest with approximately 50 kilometres of walking and mountain biking trails, We find most guests come for mountain biking or walking but for families we are approx 15 mins from Aberavon Beach and 30 minutes from Swansea where there are plenty of family friendly attractions, beaches and various family days out including GoApe.
We don’t have electric hook up onsite and this is clearly advertised so customers are aware before booking. We are more than happy for campers to come into the main Cafe in the lodge to charge phones etc and also also have the main bike lockup for customers to charge E Bikes
.
We do have several cold water taps onsite - all apart from 2 are located on the camping field. We are sorry you were not shown where they were upon arrival, if you had spoke to a member of staff onsite during your stay they would have been able to show you where all of the cold water taps are.
We hope you enjoyed your stay taking everything into consideration. Being a family owned and run site there is always somebody available onsite to try and help any guests who approach us with any questions, problems or feedback.
