Liked: Steph and Carl are lovely people and make you feel truly welcome.
The pitches are more than adequate in size.
The facilities were always clean (toilets and washing up area) with extra toilets on site.
A lovely warm shower.
And a beautiful pond to fish in, where my wife and son managed to catch a few 2lb carp. I also saw someone catch a 6.5lb carp.
On a clear night the sky is lit with stars due to minimal light pollution.
There's an Aldi and Asda 6 mins down the road for the essentials you may need.Disliked: –

Liked: Liked everything about this site. Greeted by Carl, who made us feel at home as soon as we arrived. Great walking for our dogs and they were allowed to swim in the lake on site. Showers and toilets are so clean. The garage shop stocks everything you need. Just perfect!!
Disliked: Didn’t dislike anything.

Liked: Fantastic large pitch. Good location to get to surrounding attractions. Well kept grounds with attractive pond.
Disliked: The wash up area has seen better days and was dark during the day as the light only came on automatically when it was quite dark. The hot water was not really hot enough in this sink although it was good and hot in the showers. There was some road noise which may disturb some people.

We will take on board the lighting in the wash up area, although this year the weather has been quite dreary which hasn't helped.
There is another wash up area which is much brighter ,by the top shower/laundry block.

Liked: Friendly staff, clean toilets and warm showers. Shop next to site was very friendly and well stocked. Level pitch and nice lake nearby.
Disliked: Road was very noisy and washing up area was in a very small hut meaning we needed to stand hunched over.

The road can be noisy at times and surprisingly enough the wind direction can affect the level too.
There is another wash up area by the top shower/laundry block.

Liked: Lovely clean site with good facilities. The owner was very helpful on arrival and great size plots with plenty of space. Campers were respectful of others so a peaceful a campsite. Would definitely return.
Disliked: Nearby road was a little noisy at night but nothing too disruptive

We do have a private car park, which is covered by CCTV cameras.

Liked: Lovely site great pitch’s as we stopped in the meadow so the pitch was unlimited with in reason.
Disliked: Curfew got moved from 10pm at night to 8pm so we had to be back on site for this time otherwise cars where gone left at the petrol station.
Barriers were installed also.Rats where an other issue we had of a night time.
Toilets are small only 2 showers and 2 toilet cubicles they had port a toilets very cramped.

Thank you very much for your informative review.
We don't actually have a "curfew" as you can still actually access the site through a walkway.
The barrier gates have recently been installed to deter unwanted guests.
I believe you arrived, after a day out, after the "curfew"!! at 9.30pm and it just took a phone call for Carl to come and unlock the barrier and let you in. Avoiding you having to park up on the campsites Private Car Park.
During busy periods we hire an additional modern equipped toilet block to ease the pressure on our toilet/shower block. We actually have an additional shower block with 2 mens/2 ladies modern showers which are pointed out to you on arrival.
We have outside professionals to clean our toilets daily and we check them regularly during the day. They are only as clean as the last person left them.
On arrival we say to everyone if you have any issues or problems please inform us as we are on site 24/7.
