Coity Bach: Choose a place and enjoy the great space

General

  • Glamping site on a farm in the Brecon Beacons National Park
  • Just over a mile's walk to pubs in Talybont-on-Usk
  • Well-equipped chalets with wifi and bike hire on site

Coity Bach is a welcoming farm site with glamping accommodation, in the Brecon Beacons National Park just over a mile from the pretty little village of Talybont-on-Usk.

Get involved in farm life during your stay, helping out with the goats and horses, or just settle down in a serene setting for idle hours on site by day and stargazing – barbecues and campfires are both allowed here. Off site, this is a popular place for hill walking, and town sightseeing is easily accessible at nearby Abergavenny, Hay-on-Wye and Crickhowell. It's excellent terrain for cycling too: hire a bike on site or have your own spruced up at the cycle shop in the village.

All accommodation is made up for guests' arrival, with towels and bedding included. A Smart TV/DVD player is also available in the chalet unit and the site has free wifi in some areas. Communal amenities include showers, toilets, a laundry area and a drying room; there are also charging and recycling facilities, and local produce for sale.

The nearest big town for supplies is Brecon, 15 minutes’ drive away. To eat out, four pubs are within a mile and a half at Talybont-on-Usk.

Please note

No cars/motorbikes by the pitch/unit. All cars must be parked in the designated area.

Twin axle vehicles are not permitted on site.

I was looking for a Campsite that was rural, quiet and with plenty of space and choice of pitch, Coity Bach had this to offer. The facilities provided were adequate, a working shower and laundry room, and although the washing machine was broken on my visit, I was able to use the sink to hand wash and the tumble dryer.
The views were absolutely stunning, people were able to have fire pits and campfires, generally a good and content atmosphere. The staff at Coity Bach were always happy to help anyone and made all feel welcome.

    Disliked:

The area is steep in places, you do need to find the good areas in which to pitch a tent.

Peaceful, extremely accommodating and considerate hosts. We were so grateful to be able to come and stay in Ty fferm hen, what a wonderful cottage with the unique character only usually found in St Ffagan.
Nothing was too much trouble and the information we were provided to take advantage of the local walks and a littler further afield were most welcome!
We arrived on Easter Sunday to an Easter egg, beautiful daffodils and a roaring fire! Immediately felt at home. Surrounded by beautiful farmland, with lambs and sheep and peacocks- our 6 year old loved it!
We will most definitely be recommending to others, as well as returning ourselves.
Diolch, thank you to Ceri & Family.
P.S. the bath was absolutely divine after a long day out walking 😍.. and the handmade soap is amazing and a thoughtful, unique addition.

The farm owners were extremely accommodating and helpful. We turned up at the farm with a flat tyre, and Kyle took the time to change the tyre for us, we were offered a caravan for the night so that we wouldn’t have to pitch our tent in the dark. The farm owners also sent over some recommendations for activities after learning about our short stay. Toilet and shower facilities were easily accessible.

I thought this place was very lovely and I felt very welcome. It is in the middle of no where but that is exactly what I wanted so no one could disturb me.
The little cabin its self was adorable and one of very few that have electric. We had tea, cake and a great view. It is a working farm and everyone on there made us feel very at home and at ease, even the lovely doggies and kitten that came to welcome us. They helped us with where to go for our walk and it was incredible! We found this lovely waterfall place a short drive down the road.
I was very happy with my stay overall and I will be going back too either by myself or with my partner.

    Disliked:

Bathroom door in the cabin didn't shut and handle fell off. We laugh about it now and it didn't dampen our stay there.

    The view.

    Disliked:

Lack of information prior to arrival. Couldn't get the car in the field where we pitched - but wasn't told that before or on arrival. No proper car park and told off by the neighbours for parking near their house. Entry to field major slip hazard after heavy rain. The field is on a hill, nowhere to pitch on the flat. Animal pooh all over the field. Cold shower. Advertised bike storage, but it was an open shed. Charged for a fridge but it was broke and so had to share a fridge with others - no shelves in the fridge. Advertised WiFi - no WiFi where we pitched.
