Hester is our little folding camper. If you’re not familiar, folding campers have something of a cult status and a very loyal fan-base! Two small double beds, large and small sofa, fridge, lights and mains sockets, a folding camper is everything a caravan gives you but with much less faff and a whole lot more soul! Hester is in our Little Paddock, and is linked up to mains electricity, gas and water. her little kitchen has a sink with running (cold) water, 2 gas rings and a grill, and all the charming, retro crockery you could possibly need.

Please bring your own towels, bed linen, duvets and pillows.

Little Paddock is exactly that, a small, flat, even paddock behind our property in the Wales/Shropshire borderlands. The grass is long with mown pitches, and it's peaceful and quiet, with hills in the distance. Pitches are not marked out, so we can be flexible on your space, and we only take a few so you don't feel crammed in among others. We are adult only, or one adult and one child over 5 years please. We have toilet facilities - flushing, not a portaloo, and your overnight cost includes a hearty breakfast of home made and local produce. We don't have a shower as yet, but twice a day we will provide lashings of hot water for washing up. We offer a very simple stay; we don't have a lake or mountaines outside your door, but we are close to some wonderful places such as Shrewsbury, Llangollen, Chirk and Powys castles, canals, hills, steam trains and waterfalls, so your peaceful evening can be followed by a day filled with lovely things.

Rosie is the perfect option when you fancy some time away but just don't want the hassle of faffing about putting up a tent. Here it's all there waiting for you, all you have to do is bring bedding, clothes and a good book to settle down with. The tent is a 7 foot by 14 foot white canvas ridge tent. She sits on a wooden base, (so no more putting your feel on soggy grass!) and has 2 single self-inflating mattresses to make up a very generous double (and you don't roll into the middle!), with storage on either side of the bed for a lantern (provided), books etc. She comes with enamel kitchenware and a separate open fronted tent for cooking or washing, and we provide plenty of hot water twice a day for washing up, a small camping stove, pans and a kettle. Rosie is not glamourous. She has been well-loved and well-used, so she's definitely not glamping. But she's cosy and warm, quite spacious for 2, comes with everything you need, and, like our other tent pitches, a hearty breakfast, home made and local, is included, so I think she can definitely be called glamp-ish!
