  • Family-friendly farm site spread across 100 scenic acres of land
  • A 10-min drive to Hildenborough village; 30 to Royal Tunbridge Wells
  • Woodland walks straight from the site and carp fishery next door
Roll up and rest in a peaceful part of Kent at family-friendly Sevton Farm Rural Camping, a back to basics site on the edge of the stunning High Wealds Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Set on 100 acres of secluded land, this park’s got plenty of space for the kids to run around and rare breeds such as Valais Blacknose and Greyfaced Dartmoor sheep to check out in between; if you’re bringing the full family along on a hol, dogs are allowed at the park as well (but must be kept on leads around livestock). Mums and dads might want to take mutts for meanders in the woodlands bordering the site, or spread out and take in the far-reaching views over lush countryside; pitches are spacious at this place and guests have the freedom to park themselves pretty much wherever they like. For more room to roam, Barden Lake fishery is next door and Haysden Country Park a 20-minute drive away for gentle bike rides and picnics. Simplicity rules at Sevton Farm Rural Camping… The site has no electric hook-ups or showers but does have running water and outdoor toilets. Barbecues and campfires are permitted here (but must be supervised by a grownup) and pubs serving food are within a short drive. Shops at Hildenborough are under a 10-minute drive away.

Local attractions

Kent’s got more castles, manors and gardens open to the public than anywhere else in England – so there's plenty to do hereabouts. One such structure to spy is Hever Castle 20 minutes’ drive from the site, where Anne Boleyn lived as a child, for the yew and water mazes as well as award-winning gardens. Lots of activities for kids are regularly organised at this place too. Tonbridge Castle is another spot to saunter towards: it’s under a 15-minute drive for audio tours that will take you back to its 13th-century heyday. Returning closer to the present day, market town Royal Tunbridge Wells is half an hour from the site for browsing the boutiques and galleries in its pretty The Pantiles Georgian colonnade; if you’re here in the summertime, jazz concerts are often organised here as well. For nature instead of culture, birdwatching at the Sevenoaks Wildlife Reserve is a 20-minute drive from the site.
