This site is unusual so not for everyone
The location is great as are Kate and Ann the hosts
We were there for 5 nights pitched on the grass facing The Wrekin
There is a single toilet which was clean and a seperate shower
The shower is the unusual aspect here, it is in a horse stable with a coballed floor
The shower was not working correctly for the first 2 days (we did not know this and thought it just worked that way, temp went up and down ramdomly)
By the third day the shower was running cold, I texted Kated who was on the case staightaway (this is now Saturday), within the hour a man turned up to replace the shower, by late afternoon thew shower was running stable (no pun intended) and nice and hot
We were offered to use the shower in the main house as an alternative
One gripe, the stable where the shower in housed does not seem to have a inside bolt for the bottom half of the door, you bolt it closed on the outside while stood inside the stable, then bolt the top half of the door from the inside, as far as I can see someone could open the bottom half of the door while you were showering?
Just a minor fix will sort that out
There was some building work going on but did not affect us as we were out all day
Finally, the washing up facilities are also in the horse stable next to the shower
So in someone is using either the shower or washing up you will have to wait, no issue for us as we do our washing up in the van

Five star camping, exceptional customer service and such wonderful views. Best camping shower ever, converted stable with endless hot water. The owners provide such a high level of service, even borrowed shoe polish to to tidy up my shoes for a wedding.

The location is fabulous, lovely scenery in a very relaxed environment. Hosts are wonderful too, very friendly and helpful with ideas for places to visit, walk and eat. Have already recommended this location to a number of friends who just want to take some of the pace out of their hectic lives. It's a great location to just unwind, take a deep breath and realise that not everything needs to be a million miles per hour. The facilities are absolutely fine and the shower is legendary!

Quietness, relaxed atmosphere, small site, rural location so fabulous views, sunset and sunrise were fantastic, shower was worth staying for alone, clean loo, plenty of hot water, and "pea" added a bit of exoticism

Lots of flies, but that was because the field next door was being harvested, part if the rural retreat I suppose; and it happens once a year, we were just unlucky I suppose

Katie was a fantastic attentive host who really looked after us. The site is certainly an intesting one in the gardens/yard of the old Mill. View over the Wrekin were fantastic,
Loved the peace and quite this small site gives.

Some may find the quirkiness of the toilet/shower facilities not to their taste.

Friendly, quiet and well equipped site. Fantastic shower and the peacock is fab.
If you are looking for something to do other than relax, you are bang in the middle of places to visit, museums, pubs and walks.

We had the best time at Wrekin View Retreat - great pitch - lovely views - clean and tidy facilities - loved the stable shower. Our little dog Cassie had a wonderful time also. Ann made us so welcome - we loved being able to hire the fire pits enjoyed a nice relaxing evening. A real gem of a find can’t wait to return . Thanks again for your warm friendly and welcoming hospitality.

Excellent service. Easy to use and all went well. Lovely place to stay and had a lovely weekend. Special thanks to Ann for the lift into town! Much appreciated. Will definitely be returning here in the near future.
