Liked: Large and spacious .. good facilities .. beautifully clean toilets and showers .. well kept pitches
Disliked: The pitches are too close to each other .. nothing to separate them .. hardly a tree in sight so no shade at all .. many of the caravans/motorhomes had there own water taps apart from us .. the hike up to the central area over the loose stones that you have to pull the toilet cassettes over is not easy when you are getting on in years .. my husband is 81yrs old, we shouldn't have been put so far away from these facilities either.

The pitches are all individually marked out. Grass pitches have a post between them and guests with a hard standing should only pitch on the hard standing area so there's no need to mark them out. We do offer some pitches with a water tap at an extra fee. If you book direct you will see these on our website. It's a shame that you didn't mention that you would have been happier on a pitch further up the site as the reception team will always do their best to accommodate any requests made to them.

Liked: Fantastic campsite, friendly staff with great swimming pools. Everything was clean and well kept. Quiet and beautiful scenery. Daughter absolutely loved the swimming pool.
Disliked: Food options on site were very limited. Shop was basic and shut quite a bit.

Our shop is open in the morning and again at tea time, it was closed on Wednesday when you stayed due to staff shortage but we did display a sign inviting guests to ask at reception if they had any requirements. We do just stock the basics as many of our guests choose to have shopping deliveries from the supermarkets chains and we simply cannot compete with this.

We are sorry that we had to close the pool occasionally, this was due to pool visibility, if we can't see the bottom clearly we cannot open due to safety reasons. We were having problems with a chemical imbalance so unfortunately we had to close.

Liked: The site and facilities were really clean, both pools were great, pitches spacious, great bus service all over the island from just outside the site.
Disliked: Kids wanted to bike/scooter round the site, be aware this is prohibited on this site.

Our no bike/scooter policy is shown in the terms & conditions. It's not safe to allow children to cycle/scoot around the park with constant arrivals/departures and deliveries. There are lots of areas including disused railway lines where children can be taken to enjoy their bikes and we have many skate parks for scooters.

Very clean site and quiet enough at night timeDisliked: The pitches are close together and there is (for me) a lack of greenery between the pitches. It's just not my kind of site, I prefer more privacy and wildness. We booked our stay on IOW late so there was little choice. We still had a great time and this place looks amazing for kids

We have around 120 pitches to maintain so we do keep things as simple as possible so we can provide a quick turnover on arrival and departure days. We appreciate we are not for everyone, we hope you will continue to enjoy our beautiful island while visiting a more suitable site.

I'm not sure what you mean about the pitches. They are all individually marked and guests and requested to pitch with respect to others.
We will be looking at replacing the hand dryers in the not too distant future.
