Remoteness of location and beautiful view. Welcoming, helpful operator and provision of facilities

Hard (rocky?) Ground made it difficult to put in tent pegs.
The unadopted road leading up is in extreme disrepair and the novelty wore off after a couple of trips along it.

The warm welcome, the gorgeous setting, the easygoing feel of the place. Perfect for our first family camp!

Absolutely perfect campsite, Tim is extremely helpful and a lovely host. Lots of activities to do in the surrounding areas and the campsite is a perfect haven to relax in after a busy day. We loved our stay and will definitely return.

Best bits: A generous shady spot with a generous thoughtful host. Being able to have fires and dogs visit. Being able to buy excellent local food, hand delivered. Having a fridge and freezer onsite. Trees! A small level site. Accessible for us by bus. The Crown pub. Good walks. Near enough to home for our friends and family to visit. The hammock. The yellow wheel barrows.

Not enough water/sinks for certain purposes. Chemical toilets.

Brilliant experience wild camping. Our son loved going off into the woods to collect kindling for the campfire and making friends with others his own age on the site. The views were stunning and the sunsets at night were something else.

Lots of countryside to explore. Lovely scenery of Western super mere and the severn channel from the camp and beautiful sunset. Basic facilities provided like toilets, basin and shower bags. Hens roaming about and enjoyed listening to wildlife in the mornings.

A bit noisy from young drunk campers but that's to be expected. You have to drive to buy food from supermarket but did have 2 small shops nearby but they are a little expensive. other than that, everything else was lovely 🙂

Amazing view and a laid back atmosphere. Not just a field but tent area is quite separate from house/shed/facilities. Large rooms with mini port-a-pots make for a good space to change clothes or sort gear. A pub at the bottom of the 'road' is handy as well :)

No fuss camping with welcoming host, great view, flat pitches, open fires and pub/shop in walking distance.
