The site was beautiful, very quiet and peaceful. The ground was also fantastic, pegs went in with ease.

The facilities. From where I camped it was a 12mins round trip on foot to go to the toilet.

There were only 2 showers on site, total for all the campers and swimmers. They were very nice showers (good pressure and hot) but there was a lot of competition for them.

There was no facility to freeze ice packs. There was the cafe but it’s only open Thu to Sun except the week I was there, due to staffing issues it wasn’t open over the weekend.

What a stay!!! We came as a small group of mature women for a birthday celebration. It was really magical. We LOVED the beautiful lakes and swam in each. The weeping willlows were a real highlight. The water was clean and refreshing and the scenery stunning. It wasn't too busy. The café did good coffees and sausage rolls (it wasn't fully open during our stay). We also hired the sauna for a private session and that was also fabulous, right by the M lake for cooling off! Truly fabulous stay thank you!

Very beautiful swimming sites and handy indoor barn changing. Cafe on site great too.

Peace and tranquility of the site . Nice to have a picnic table and fire pit near some of the pitches .

Oy a small point but the site toilets are past the lakes and not in the camping field so a walk in the dark .maybe compost toilets for the camping site ?

Lovely peaceful spot near York..3 lovely natural swimming lakes, especially liked Monet lake swimming amongst and amidst lillies. Great sauna and changing barn facility. Rustic and unique. Great on-site cafe. Fire pits by lakeside. Great spot to visit for day. Take picnic etc.

Shower and toilet block seemed inadequate for the number of people. They were under refurbishment on my visit so not sure what changes are planned but didn’t look like additional were being constructed. Outside showers would be useful.

We loved the swimming and the camping field was great. Very busy on the hottest day of the year and a pleasant sense of barely organised fun. Great enthusiasm for the people. Super jackdaw. Good sense of an evolving venture.

Facilities for camping are a long way off and pretty limited. Emptying black waste a trek. The infrastructure isn’t quite in pace but they have the bones of a fab camping place and probably need to decide where to invest and on what to focus.
