Very friendly family feeling Campsite. Spoke to the owners in passing whenever we saw them and always had a nice chat.

The site had a large area in the centre for kids/people to play on but having quiet hours definitely still made it a peaceful camp site.

The owner had food venders on for breakfast and one of the nights that we were there for. Although we didn't indulge ourselves everyone we that we saw who did all seemed very happy. Generally just loved the idea of it though

Overall just a really nice small Campsite to get away from it all.

Made to feel really welcome, Debbie & Allen couldn't have been nicer.
The location is brilliant, halfway between Dartmoor and Exeter.
The site itself had great sized pitches, so plenty of space and the loos ....., well the loos left us speechless they were incredible. Really well looked and after and clean. No wonder they have won awards.
We will definitely be back :)

Excellent access to Dartmoor for riding my bicycle. Campsite on the whole very peaceful.

Pitches could be slightly more spacious. Felt a bit too close to neibours when site was full.

Perfect location to visit local attractions. Welcoming hosts, large flat pitches, immaculate washroom and facilities. Will definitely be going back and recommending to friends.

We stayed on a monday night mid september and it was nicely quiet! The showers and toilets were super clean and facilities to wash dishes as well.
Properly run family business, they offered to stay late 7pm to let us check in.
In the evening we had a fish and chips van and in the morning a coffe and pastries van which compensated for not having a bar.
We will definitly come back if in the area.

There is not much privacy between fhe pitches is more of a big ground divided with gravel but since there were not many people it was ok.

It was very clean and the pitches were very well organised and numbered. Staff helpful and friendly. I recommend it.

The only negative is the access road is not very good, it such be tarmac.

Great campsite. Excellent shower block, lovely and clean. There was a BBQ evening the night we arrived and a coffee and pastries van in the morni ng which was a lovely surprise 😋

The Nourish food festival was on but unfortunately we were booked into Bovey Castle for afternoon tea (delicious btw).

Super friendly and helpful owners. Small site full of happy campers, perfectly laid out and spotless facilities - lovely walk into local village. We will definitely be back 😃

Clean and tidy site. Showers were always hot and toilet/shower block always seemed warm/heated which is not always the case at other sites. Security barriers at entrance made it a bit less worrying to leave bikes etc at pitch. Easy access from A38, but far enough for minimal/no road noise(depending on wind etc). Toilet/shower block always immaculate with plenty of hooks, loo roll & free hair dryer.

As the site is surrounded by huge oak trees, they can overshadow your pitch. Obviously we knew this when booking, but didn’t really give it much thought, thinking that if we didn’t get morning sun, we’d probably get evening sun. Anyway it turned out that because we have teenage kids, we left the site late and didn’t return till gone dusk every day, meaning we didn’t get any sun on our pitch whilst we were there. On few occasion, we moved our chairs into the access drive to enjoy some sun. Not a big deal accept on the last day, despite being 2 days into a national heat wave, our awning was so wet when it was time to leave (by 11am) that we had to roll it up in a tarp and take it home to dry. My own fault, as I specifically requested the back pitches (33-40ish) to be away from the kid’s playing area. If we return, we would request a pitch with morning sun. Other than that minor issue, the site is perfect.
4G at this site appeared available on phone, but was almost useless. Even difficult to get weather forecast. Thankfully we kept busy with day trips so boys didn’t moan about this too much.
