A very peaceful stay at this idyllic location. Gorgeous views and lovely walks by the river. The owner was there to greet us and couldn’t be more helpful, even helping us with our tarpaulin to keep it down in the wind! The kids had a ball, running around. We would definitely stay again

Absolutely stunning place to camp, it was really beautiful, we were right by the river and had freedom to choose where we pitched up, there were horses and sheep across the way which were great to watch. Also they offered firewood when it was getting dark, it cost but it was a lovely gesture. Toilets were clean and I was really impressed with showers, nice hot water! Also appreciate the toilet lights being left on during the night so we can find our way haha! Brilliant!

The shower facilities are a little small

We looking for place not far from Manchester and this one was nice and quaiet with friendly staff where we will definitely come back in the future.

Returned early after just one night stay (we paid for 2) due to being kept awake most of the night by disrespectful noisy neighbours. The rules were explained to ourselves about noise (quiet by 11pm) however not everyone stuck to these rules, we never saw anyone come and check if people were sticking to the rules. we were kept awake until after 4am with people drinking and shouting. This unfortunately kept waking our two year old and older children. Resulting in unhappy campers, so the next day we packed up and left, I instantly text the owner once we had left and explained why, to then be told I was "moaning about the noise" and that a refund for the second night that we did not stay would not be given, extremely unprofessional in my opinion.

The field was full of sheep pooh, and a strong smell of cannabis in the evenings.
I would advise anyone with a young family to avoid this site. There are plenty of other nice sites to choose from.
We unfortunately learnt the hard way and would not return, especially after the unprofessional reaction from the owner.
