Liked: The site was excellent and the family who owned the site are extremely accommodating and helpful. You can hire a fire pit and buy wood on-site and most tents have a picnic table close by too. The lakes are are beautiful but a hard fish definitely not a runs water.
Disliked: The midgies and gnats are like a swarm of an evening by the lakes never seen anything like it so a good insect repellent is a must.

Liked: Little hidden gem! Greeted by a lovely gentleman and cute doggies! Lovely quiet site with four big lakes for different types of fishing. Facilities were always clean and tidy with two toilets and 1 shower in the ladies cabin. I assume this would be the same for the men too! Different site and walks rounds the place some you have to drive to. Had a lovely comfortable stay and we have booked again for the jubilee Bank hols! Thanks fron farm x

Just because you did not catch does not mean understocked. Fishing is a sport.

Disliked: Lovely place, but so quiet, there where only another 2 couples staying on site, they packed up after one day, we found out why as they only went for the fishing, same as us, only caught 3 fish between 2 of us the whole weekend, not very good at all. We where sat at the lake with a radio on quietly got told to turn it of as it disturbed the fishermen baring in mind we were the only people there, but we had to listen to strimmers going all weekend, plus got charged full price for fishing even though we had paid to stay there, Not very good at all.
We can't guarantee fish, it depends on the weather, pressure etc., the people left early because of the noise from your party, the radio was not quiet, I had to politely ask you to turn it down, maintenance has to be done, also we did not have it going all the time, the farmer acroos the way was working as well. This is what you get when fishing in the country setting. Why would we not change you £7,00for fishing for over 12 hours.

Disliked: Asked to turn the music down when we was only playing it to drown out the strimmer that they was using all day we was the only people fishing and was told our music was distracting the other fishermen. The music wasn’t loud the fish have disappeared we have stayed here a few times but this time it was completely different and didn’t enjoy it
The music could be heard in the house and two other fishermen left because of the noise, they told us we shouldn't let people have music on. We also had fly fisherman in. I'm sorry you didn't enjoy this time. Our Strimmer was far enough away, most of it was from the farm across the way, we cannot control what the farmer does.

There are heaters for your convenience in the toilet block. The toilet block is functional and clean.
