Clean toilets and showers, playground

The site was small maybe a dozen pitches, clean, well maintained and the kids loved the playground area, which kept them entertained even in wet weather, also as there was a small play house in the playground area. The kids on the campsite congregate and play there. It is good enough as a playground as it is but if you put another piece or two in the playground then the kids will have an even better time. As a builder you could knock up another small wooden hut/structure in the playground for a very little expense (just a thought).

Also, you allow camp fires and sell wood but get some fire pits in to hire out too maybe. Though we got one from the local supplies store a mile down the road it would be a useful addition.

No disliked but hopefully constructive advice;
- While the shower/wash area was good and kept very clean, there was only one sink and the same for the washing up area. It did not actually cause any problems for us but it may if the site was full.
- The guy running it was friendly enough but at times it felt a little bit like having a playground monitor or a prefect at school. He was helpful and friendly but maybe wind it back a bit, people just want to do their own thing when they are camping. I understand that others would just see this as being friendly and helpful.

Friendly owner Paul always availible to help if needed, nice small site safe for kids to play, good play area, kept my 6 and 4yr olds busy, considerate camping neighbours - no loud music etc was other families with young kids so was perfect.

Small, clean, friendly and peaceful site.

The camping field (very flat), sun all day, good Children’s playground, good shower & toilet block (clean, tidy, fresh), not too many campervan&tents, good pitch sizes. We could always see the kids from our trailer tent (no matter where they were playing). Very good hosting. You can have a bbq, fire pit (wood can be bought from Paul). Lots of sights to visit, Shrewsbury, Market Drayton, historic village of Hodnet. We also went for a drink at Hawkstone Hall. We didn’t visit the Hawkstone Park Folloes & Grotto’s, but it’s looks very impressive.

Toilets were clean but too small. Needs another two.

Road is noisy but little can be done about that
