Located on a working farm very peaceful site with lovely views basic facilities but heated and clean would stay again

Couple of large potholes on way in made worse by recent rain which needed care to navigate.

Very enjoyable stay in mid September, warmly welcomed by Jess and given a field to ourselves with spectacular views. We stayed in a roof tent on top of our car, with no need for a hook up.
Facilities clean and tidy, hot showers (though not much space to get changed in) and plenty of room on the site. Would highly recommend. Located in a small Pembrokeshire village, with narrow country lanes, but surrounded by fabulous scenery and 40 mins drive from beaches at Freshwater West.
We were on a foraging course locally and this made a great base for 2 nights.

Location &view was beautiful. Far enough away from towns etc that it feels that you're completely escaping away, but within easy drive to reach Tenby, Saundersfoot, Oakwood, Folly Farm etc. Jess & Neil were so welcoming, friendly & helpful- frequently checking things were ok &that you were enjoying your stay. It is a very relaxed environment within the grounds of a working farm, but the peacefulness is in no way disturbed by this. The gravel caravan pitches are provided with a picnic bench each, which was lovely to sit out in the mornings & evenings. All in all, a very peaceful & relaxing stay, thank you!

The gravel pitches need to be more compacted- this made it difficult to pitch our awning securely, but Neil provided us with some concrete blocks to help! Our advice is to take some quality rock pegs in order to pitch securely. Any areas where marks have been lost in our review are being addressed as we speak- they are currently building a large toilet/shower block, to increase capacity. There are currently only recycling facilities on site, your general "rubbish" has to be taken with you. There are waste pipes on the fully-serviced pitches, however they need to be cut down to a much lower level, to avoid having to lift your waste container up to it!

Lovely quiet location with spectacular views. Very friendly and helpful owners. Excellent location for visiting lots of attractions and super walks nearby. Each caravan touring pitch had a picnic bench which was very useful.

As a newly developed site, we understand that the shower/toilet facilities are a work in progress and they were a bit cramped. Everything worked however and we were glad to be able to use showers, toilets and washing up area without the need to wait at all as the site was not busy.

There is nothing to dislike here

We stayed here for 5 nights at the start of September 2020. That is myself and my wife and our 5 year old grandaughter. The site is spaciousand has around 10 pitches most of which are large hard standings. These are in the main fully serviced pitches of compacted stone at the higher edge of the slightly sloping site. There is also space in an additional field for further tents

The site is some distance from main roads and from the site there are glorious views across some of Pembrokeshire's finest countryside. Over to one side you have a view over the Cleddau Ddu a tidal stretch of water near the quaint little hamlet of Lawrenny. The back drop to a large part of the view are the Preseli Mountains. Between the site and the hills is an expanse of lush green countryside with just a few houses scattered around in the distance. The best thing of all, is the almost complete silence that surrounds the site. We did not hear any traffic noise whatsoever, it is totally peaceful.

The site itself has basic facilities including a toilet, a shower and washing up facilities. All of which were clean and functioned well and were an added bonus as we came here not expecting to use site facilities.

Dogs on leads are welcomed and there is also a fair sized field adjacent to the main field where dogs can be exercised off the lead. Have plenty of towels handy as the grass is long and is likely to be wet. This is Wales, after all.

Although the site seems to be in the middle of nowhere, it is actually well located for trips to Tenby, Saundersfoot, Narbeth, Haverford West and Pembroke. Various child friendly attractions are in easy reach including Manor Wild Life Park, the Dinosaur Park at Tenby and Heatherton's World Of Activities. There is also BlueStone's Blue Lagoon (Water Park), Folly Farm and Oakwood Theme Park. Also one mustn't forget the beautiful Pembrokeshire coastline. Try a visit to Marloes Sands for example.

The slight downhill slope across the site means that it worth giving careful consideration to the direction that you tow the caravan onto the pitch from, especially on wet grass. However this also gives you an advantage when towing the carvan off the pitch if you have one of the hardstanding pitches that on the higher edge of the field.

The site owner Jess was on hand at the time of our arrival (and throughout our stay) and gave lots a useful and friendly advice.

Plan your shopping trips carefully. There is no on-site shop and the only nearby shop we found was a small village shop in Lawrenny. Perhaps allow time to do your shopping during a trip to Narbeth or Tenby etc. (Now everyone is going to tell us there a loads of little local shops that we missed).

There are some things that could be tweeked to improve the fully serviced pitches. Pitching the caravan on the large pitch would be easier if the tap was central to the pitch. As things stand, two pitches share one centrally located water tap. Its position restricted where we could pitch our caravan. The waste water pipe is also centrally located and the top of it is some distance above the ground. Although we have a fairly long waste pipe it wouldn't reach. I also wonder whether the height of the pipe would cause water to back up in the caravan's waste pipe as it is considerably higher than the waste outlets on most caravans. The final tweek I suggest would be to level out the ground around the tap. Our pitch had an earth bank that reached almost to the tap and made getting to the tap a little tricky. Jess, the owner of the site told us that changes are likely to be made to the 'plumbing' when the site closes for the winter.

For those of you that don't mind simple facilities and want space, peace and quiet and glorious scenery, THIS SITE IS AN ABSOLUTE MUST FOR YOU. We are certainly keen to return to the site in the future.
