On the prowl for a Pembrokeshire park for you and your pride? If your ears prick up at the idea of being next to a top-rated zoo, pounce at the chance to stay at Folly Farm Holiday Park. Pitching up here can save a pretty penny, too: guests at the park who buy a ticket to the zoo qualify for unlimited entry to all Folly Farm's attractions throughout their stay.

Although close to beasts and beaches, these well-maintained and superbly spacious grounds make a handy base for all manner of stays – strolls along the Welsh Coast Path, surf lessons in Saundersfoot or offshore jaunts to Caldey Island are all within easy reach. Getting around by road could hardly be more straightforward, as the site has direct access to the A478; it's also possible to take a break from driving and hitch a ride on a local bus that stops a few minutes' walk away.

Folly Farm Holiday Park is a great choice for guests who are happy to bring their own facilities (there are no site loos or showers). What this site lacks in frills it certainly makes up for in scenic vistas, though – these mainly come in the form of green Pembrokeshire country views (although you'll also catch glimpses of fairground rides between the trees).

Barbecues are allowed here, as are dogs. The nearest supermarket is in Saundersfoot (10 minutes' drive). Folly Farm Adventure Park and Zoo is home to food outlets ranging from sweet shops to burger bars.

Well where to start.. I/We have been camping, campervanning for over 20 Years. Travelled to many sites in the Uk and overseas. This sight without a doubt was the Cleanest, friendliest, perfectly managed location we have been to!! The welcome on arrival was second to none!! Greeted with a smile and pleasant chat. Ok there are many restrictions at the moment due to Covid 19 and we have had a wasted year. But on the plus side this site has ALL the safety features in place with clear instructions.
The pitches are great, (Take Strong pegs(Its does say so in the pre arrival documents)). The showers are hot and very clean, there are squeegy mops there for you to clean up after yourself (USE THEM). The dryers are good quality. The whole site is immaculate. The onsite management team are so very helpful nothing is too much trouble and they are both ready with a smile as well as a solution to any minor issue. There is no onsite shop as such bu there is a shop out of the camp down the road about 600m.
We will be back again. What an excellent weekend, the weather was great to. Well done and thank you.

Toilets was very clean and the showers are double the size of most other camp sites! The family room is also very big making washing the little ones so much easier!

Each pitch is very large and had standing with a small bit of grass between each stand for kids to play! Amazing views over the valley too!

Liked:	Everything about the site is excellent, the wardens know exactly how to welcome you, the pitch was spotless with not a drop of rubbish anywhere, the toilet and shower block were second to none and to top it off while we were sitting in the awning one evening we could hear the lions roaring in the farm ❤️❤️❤️
Disliked:	As a long time caravaner there was nothing i disliked, it was a 10 out of 10 site.

Liked:	I liked everything about the site, it’s a great site for families and couples wanting a quiet base. Really peaceful, well apart from the lion roaring during the night, what a fab experience. Excellent shower block / facilities and the pitches were a good size and really well maintained.
Disliked:	If you have an awning, an extra groundsheet / tarpaulin would be useful as the gravel base on pitch is quite rough.

Local attractions

Want a break from the animals? Grownups in need of some fresh air and gentle exercise can partake in a putt at Trefloyne Golf Course (20 minutes' drive), while families fond of history have both Pembroke Dock Maritime Museum and Pembroke Castle 20 minutes away. Carew Castle (15 minutes) has more heritage to explore: the stones here date back to Norman times, and there's also a centuries-old tidal mill to peruse.

Fancy some time on the coast? After paddling and ice creams in Saundersfoot (10 minutes), set sail for Caldey Island (15 minutes' drive, then a short ferry crossing), a goodly green outcrop maintained by a bunch of Cistercian monks. Alternatively, head west for beach days on the several sightly sands around St Bride's Bay (30 minutes).

Folly Farm may well be the main event if you’re staying here, but kids can also be taken to Tenby's Dinosaur Park (10 minutes), Oakwood Theme Park (10 minutes) or for a ride on the Gwili Steam Railway (35 minutes).
