  • Family-run site under an hour’s drive from the Welsh coast
  • Mid-Wales countryside setting 20 minutes' drive from Machynlleth
  • Games room and playground on site
On your marks, get set, and CrinGOed to this friendly, family-orientated park sitting pretty in the mid-Wales countryside, under an hour’s drive away from the Welsh coast. A warm welcome from the Cringoed Caravan Park owners awaits: they've been working hard for over 15 years to perfect this family-run gem, leading to a well laid-out park set against spectacular woods. Comfort is the name of the game here: hot showers and electric hook-up is available, as are dishwashing facilities, a laundry, chemical disposal point and access to wifi. Kids have a play area and games room to keep them busy in weathers both fair and foul. Dogs are allowed all year round too, so be sure to bring the pooch along to take part in proceedings. For supplies, the village of Llanbrynmair (with its convenience store and homely pub) is a mile away, and the cafés, pubs and shops of Machynlleth are just over 20 minutes away by car.

Power optional gravel travel trailer campsite

Liked: Only stopped off 1 night to break up our travel. Lovely well maintained site. Beautiful scenery, surrounded by mountains, good sized gravel pitch backed onto a stream. Greeted by the owner and shown to pitch. Electric hook up wasn't directly by pitch so make sure you have a long cable, although owner was happy to lend one. Toilet facilities clean.

Disliked: Not a dislike, too in the middle of nowhere for us, nothing in or around site but fine for a short stop off. Ideal for walkers. Also advertised Games Room on site, did not see any signs of this so can't comment if any good, asked a static owner who said its locked up which seemed strange as Easter Weekend.

Power optional grass tent or trailer tent campsite

Liked: Clean facility, welcoming host, lovely stream nearby, in the valleys, surrounded by sheep and wildlife.

Disliked: Had to park car then walk camping gear into a field to put it up...it wasn't far but a little inconvenient and didn't realise this was the plan. We had a roof tent and luckily there was space for us to park and open it where we were placed otherwise that would have been difficult. Very cold shower/toilet block.

Power optional grass tent or trailer tent campsite

Liked: The site is beautiful once you arrive you feel completely relaxed, the sire is very peaceful. The site has everything you need in facilities. The most amazing part is the stunning views all around. The owners are lovely very friendly and helpful. The site residents are also very friendly. We only stayed 2 days this time but we are booking a lot longer for next year. You could not ask for anything more from a campsite. You also have the options of days out and very fun and exciting things to do I can highly recommend this site if you want to have a very relaxing , peaceful and happy holiday

Disliked: Nothing at all
