General

  • Peaceful family-friendly site two miles from New Forest's outskirts
  • A 10-minute drive from a water park; half an hour from Bournemouth
  • Pubs, shops, park and playground a short walk away from the site

Fond of a peaceful time? A fan of the sound of the treetops and trails of the New Forest National Park or watersports close by? At Ashford House Camping, the focus is on family and relaxation for small groups and families in the grounds of Ashford House, two miles from the edge of the national park and 10 minutes' drive away from New Forest Water Park.

So, pick your grassy plot - tents and campervans are welcome on this site, as are dogs (all poop picked and kept under control at all times due to sheep in the neighbouring field). Large groups aren’t accepted here, as peace is the priority - the reason for the no noise policy after 11pm and no loud music rule.

With the New Forest so close by, this is a good place to plan in walking, trout fishing, horse riding or golf locally. You’ll want to factor some tasty food in too and handily, the local pub has good grub and drinks 10 minutes’ walk away.

This pub is in Fordingbridge, which is home to some quite interesting shops and more friendly eating holes, including a pub with views over the river Avon. There's also a rather tasty (in the non-edible way) riverside park and playground. Conveniently, these spots are only 25 minutes’ walk away.

Good showers & toilets, space to pitch, location was good

    Disliked:

Noisy neighbours in the field next door meant we couldn’t sleep until 2am. That meant we left the next day a day early.

From the manager...

We're sorry that you experienced noise from our neighbours field. Its a pity that you didn't inform us in the morning and we would have spoken to our neighbour and also moved you to a different pitch further away. Given the problem you experienced we are happy to offer you another weekend free of charge.
