General
- In spectacular scenery close to the Sandstone Trail and local pubs
- Under an hour's drive from the Welsh coast
- Near lakes and fisheries for angling; 30 minutes' drive from Chester
Larkhill Cottage Camping and Caravan Site is a scenic site looking out over some of the most stunning scenery in Cheshire, and is five minutes' walk from the Sandstone Trail. It has views towards Clwyd, Shropshire, the Wirral, Merseyside and Peak District. The site is also conveniently located under an hour's drive from the Welsh coast and only five minutes from shops and restaurants.
Guests can sit on a bench in the sheltered stable yard and meet Neville the cockerel and the fellow hens, pet fluffy and friendly yard cat Rio, snip aromatic herbs from the border for dinner or buy free-range eggs from the site owners.
The site has plenty of space for family games and dogs are also welcome (please be responsible and keep dogs who may chase livestock on a lead).
The site is eight minutes' drive from the historic small market town of Malpas, where there's a general store, and two minutes from a chip shop and a good Indian restaurant. Whitchurch is 10 minutes' drive away, with a choice of supermarkets as well as a regular farmers' market.
The site's facilities include a toilet with wash basin (with hot and cold water), and a kitchen with dishwashing sink, freezer, fridge, microwave, toaster, kettle and washing machine.

I am so sorry that other campers kept you awake I would certainly have come over and asked them to be more considerate had I been aware. Regarding the waste tank, because some campers had been putting nappies etc in the tank it suddenly became full and as a temporary measure I asked campers to use my tack room toilet which is conveniently sited on the yard very close to the archway as you enter the site only a few meters further on from the waste tank. |
