Had the place to ourselves ,had a brill few days everything was clean and the host was a really nice guy ,even let us take some apples

We were pitched on an area which was completely hard standing, which was great as the weather was mixed and the nearby grass pitches were sodden. Easy hook up to the electric, water tap very close by, chemical toilet waste area close by and just a short walk to the main toilets and shower block. Far enough away from the nearby main roads that noise was not a problem at all.

The only downside to the pitches is that they are not particularly picturesque and adjacent to a barn of some description. During the afternoon there was quite a lot of traffic passing by into what appeared to be a business premises. I would stress, however, that this was not a significant issue and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Level ground, peaceful location. Hook up point

Miles of single track coming from South, north access better. Mens shower block had two showers, only one seemed to heat, lock missing on inner door so had to bolt main door meaning only one at a time. Gents floors and general cleaning required. No obvious dirty water disposal.

There were not many people on site but they were all really nice, the grounds were very well kept, the grass lawns were beautifully mowed, there was plenty of hand sanitizer and plenty of toilet rolls in the toilet, I didn't see the manager but he was in contact with me and extremely helpful, plus the weather was glorious:)

Grounds were lovely and we had the field to ourselves the first night. Toilets a bit of a distance but clean and spacious

The noise - the site is very close to the motorway and provided a constant background noise to what would otherwise be peaceful. There was no onsite takeaway as advertised and the local pub does not serve food until Friday so we had to make a hasty trip to a local supermarket to ensure we were fully self sufficient.

The location, within a doable walk for 2 pubs, one offering food. Owner friendly and attentive. Nice grounds and grass pitches. Facilities were clean, although a walk away. Lovely town of Stone a few miles away and worth a visit.
