Janson Fishery Caravan and Camping

Everything you need is in the clean roomy pod . Greeted by a lovely host . We had en-suite but we checked out toilets and showers all were spotless . The pods were warm and kitted out with all modern spec . Think they were only a year old .

Well organized site with helpful wardens, very clean shower and toilet rooms. Level pitches with a good electric supply. Fresh water taps at both ends of the site. Plenty of rubbish bins.Mainly quiet.

Beautiful small well kept site looking onto fishing lake. 2 Brand New shower \ toilet facility, excellent water power and nice and warm. Friendly wardens.
Reasonably priced.
Excellent pub Nags Head in Harby about 6 miles away, best Sunday dinner we've had.
Wanted to visit Belvoir Castle and Museum in Loughborogh but both only open Wed-Sun. Need to check opening times!!!

didn't find anywhere within walking distance. But overall fishing lakes site was large enough for a little walk after 5pm when fishing finished.
Can be subject to traffic noise certain times of day.

The shower was nice and clean . The lady that greeted us was very nice.

We met 3 people who worked there of which 2 were lovely however the skinny man was some what rude, unpleasant which unfortunately tarnished our stay. Once we were all set up we decided to get out camping bbq up, took it out the box and got the fire going with use of logs and coal. The man came over, clearly with no customer service background as didn’t even say hello, have you settled in okay, and just shouted you can’t have fire pits. We explained it was a bbq, of which we had the box to prove and it certainly wasn’t a blazing fire as we wanted to cook on it and was told to put it out. The man then followed up by asking what was this (a outdoor heater), which we replied, again the man clearly was not happy with this but then decided to insult the dog by saying that he was extremely noisy, baring in mind the man in a black coat walked over to the dogs safe place and didn’t even try to be welcoming. I’d be shocked if most dogs didn’t react.

The following morning we walked around to see where the cafe was to get a cuppa tea and who pops out... the grumpy skinny man again shouting... “you can’t have dogs by the pond”. Only wanted a cuppa T, the very noisy dog funny enough didn’t bark. So we couldn’t go anywhere around the site apart from our bit of grass in case the grumpy man decided to shout again.

Anyways the area is very nice, bit noisy from the main road, but most importantly..... watch out for the very grumpy skinny man! Others were lovely.

Peaceful clean and so enjoyable. The lady and man on the camp site working made us fee so welcome and safe during our stay. There is honestly not a thing I could fault

Excellent site especially if you love fishing. Very friendly and helpful wardens.
Set in the countryside with plenty of nearby walks, and the lovely village of Redmile just a few minutes drive away where you can visit The Windmill pub famed for its scenes in Auf Weidersen Pet. The lunchtime menu was excellent value for money and the food was delicious.
The toilets/showers are a brand new purpose built pod which means when you go for a shower you get your own WC and wash basin too, with ample room to get dry and dressed.
The fishing here is second to none. Our hard standing pitch literally had a fishing peg in front of it and I have never caught such a large array of decent sized fish in my life. From Barbel to ghost mirror carp, tench etc you literally have to stop to take a breather. We’ll definitely be visiting this site again. A+++
