LOVELY LOCATION,PLENTY OF WALKS ALONG THE RIVER AND SURROUNDING AREA.
FLAT PITCH WITH EASY ACCESS TO ELECTRICITY, WATER AND DRAINS.
LOCAL TO "Carsington Water" WHICH IS A DEFINITE PLACE TO VISIT.

Lovely quiet site with fantastic views. Nice walks nearby and the beautiful Dovedale is a short drive away. Pub (Royal Oak) serving good food within walking distance.
We would also recommend the Bowling Green in Ashbourne if you want a great steak.
The pitches are round the edge of the field so we had plenty of room to play games with our Grand-daughter who absolutely loved it.
We were lucky enough to have warm sunny weather an enjoyed relaxing in this peaceful setting with just the sounds of nature and the chimes of the village church bells which we found charming.

Lovely spot with great views with easy access to a small village with a shop and a pub,the pub serving good food and adhering to the Covid 19 regulations .we used our own facilities so can’t comment on the facilities on site but had no trouble finding the water and Elsan point and each had hand sanitizers available . We didn’t see the owners but we had no need to everything ran very smoothly and the kids loved it so win win .

The scenic location, very handy for local walks and also the pub (at least for takeaways at the moment!).

Peaceful no frills campsite which is just what we were looking for. Amazing countryside views from the pitches and plenty of room to relax. Other campers were respectful and friendly and the owners were welcoming and on hand for any questions. Campsite was suitable for our very large 7.5ton camper and easy to find, pitches were level and nicely spaced. Plenty of walks from the campsite down by the River Dove and a pub within walking distance. Nearby farm shop is open on Saturdays 10-1, great for the BBQ. Nice to feel ‘away from it all’, yet still close to Ashbourne if needed. Definitely one of the best campsites we have been to, perfect if you’re looking small quiet campsite in the countryside. Watching the stars at night was a highlight!

Peaceful grass site. Very friendly welcome. Spacious pitches. Beautiful views close to Ashbourne and the Tissington Trail, perfect for biking( can be hired on the trail) and walking. Very dog friendly. Usual water and elsan disposal. Some WHY
Very enjoyable stay will definitely stay again.

Although the grass was closely mowed unfortunately the grass wasn't picked up and next morning after a heavy dew the cut grass was walking in everywhere. The elsan point was a short walk but as I think this is a brand new site these little niggles will soon be sorted.

We didn’t spend a lot of time on site but the views are amazing. We had a really great nights sleep because it was so dark and quiet.
Waking up in the morning to hear the animals and look at the view was great.
We didn’t spend a lot of time on site but we said we would like to return and spend more time on site to chill out. I think we would try to hire a fire pit next time too.

We didn’t spend a lot of time at the site due to spending the day in Ashbourne and then getting up to go to the motorcycle racing at Darley Moor the following morning. As far as we could tell there was nothing to complain about.
