  • Adults-only motorhome aire close to the beach and bay of St Aubin
  • Watersports centre within five minutes' drive and St Helier within 15
  • Easy access from both ferry and airport
Well, of course you'll want to hide away here… it's Jersey, after all, home to spectacular scenery, stunning coastline, clear blue waters and a lushly green island setting in the English Channel. And it's Hideaway Motorhome Stopover, a friendly adults-only site close to the beach, shops and restaurants and within easy reach of lots of spectacular coastal cycling trails, cliffside walks and plenty of wildlife spotting and birdwatching… of course you'll want to hide away here. The aire is a couple of kilometres or a few minutes' drive from the village of Saint Peter on the west central part of the island, a short drive from the airport and 15 minutes' drive west of St Helier. Canoeing/kayaking, bike hire, fishing, golf, sailing, and tennis are all available close by, and there are several surf schools around the island. An indoor swimming pool and a watersports centre for jetskiing, waterskiing and wakeboarding are both nearby. Hideaway takes motorhomes only, on spacious hardstanding pitches with electricity and water provided and access to a chemical disposal facility. There are no on-site toilet or shower facilities.

Powered cement/asphalt and grass RV campsite

Liked: A good 5 space stopover - water, EHU, waste disposal, in a dip out of the wind. Guy showed up shortly after we arrived and made us welcome. Gave us a handy map of the island. Shop, restaurant and busses an easy 10 minutes walk down the hill. Open out of season.

Disliked: It was a bit muddy - but there was a lot of heavy rain. The access isn’t easy to spot on first attempt and is a little awkward.

Powered cement/asphalt and grass RV campsite

Liked: Position with regards to buses, supermarket and pubs was very good.

Disliked: Borehole for water. Could not drink it unless boiled. Lots of sediment in kettle and motorhome water tank. The pump started being noisy and eventually packed up. Due to the water????

Recommend to friends Visit again

From the manager: Note: the water is perfectly safe, but for your own safety we recommend that it is boiled before drinking, especially as most people put the water straight into their motorhome tank, and draw water from them for drinking. Motorhome water tanks are not always cleaned out regularly!

This is more like an aire, a lot nicer sites on the island.

Liked: Nothing

Disliked: Next to a working quarry and busy road small pitches.

From the manager: We are sorry you did not enjoy staying at our site. This site IS an aire, as it does not have toilet or shower facilities. It does however have water and electricity on each pitch, along with grey water and cassette disposal facilities on the site. As advertised on Pitchup. Perhaps you should have stayed at a Campsite with all facilities.

Can't praise it enough. Many thanks Carolyn and Dave

Powered cement/asphalt and grass RV campsite

Liked: Fab stopover. Owned and set up by Motorhomers. Competitive prices, good location. Flat standing on gravel, excellent chemical toilet empty and grey water. Good electric supply and plenty of water from their own bore hole. Owners visited every day to make sure we were OK and had everything we needed.please note, that this is not a M.H. site which takes kids of any age , even though their is no option to state this. The reason is because their is a quarry near by and it would be just too dangerous for kids to be near it

Disliked: Nothing to dislike

Local attractions

Jersey's a stunning isle for all sorts of outdoor adventures, or merely meandering around camera in hand and picnic on back seeking the most serene spot. Your local highlights include Greve de Lecq beach and bay (10 minutes' drive), a popular Jersey beach for its wide stretch of golden sand and easy accessibility by car or local bus routes. Cafés and pubs aplenty are in the streets surrounding the sands. Beach buffs should also like Plemont, five minutes' drive further to the north, a spectacular beach that's a top pick for surfing, swimming, rockpooling and caving; access it via the wooden staircase leading from the famed beach café down to the sea. If you're feeling fully energetic, the Jersey Sea Sport Centre for jetskiing, water skiing, wakeboarding, banana and speed boat trips is five minutes' drive from the site. Away from the sea and sands, take a look at the medieval house and gardens of Samarès Manor, or the endangered species at Jersey Zoo, set up in the 1960s by famed naturalist Gerald Durrell; both are 20 minutes away.
