The toilet and shower block are great, probably the nicest campsite facilities I've used.

We checked in after the reception closed and I didn't have cash on me, and I wasn't able to pay by card. I advised the grounds keeper that we would pay our fee when the reception was open in the morning. We were then chased for payment in the morning whilst we were sat by our tent.
It just felt unnecessary as we were planning on paying, so unsure if they get a lot of people skipping out before paying but we didn't intend on that.
We just felt watched and it left a sour taste in our mouth.

Also I didn't realise the camping site was on a park home site, so not the most natural camping background.

Plenty of space despite being a busy Bank Holiday weekend. Tony the Site Warden was excellent from start to finish, giving advice ( it was our first time out with our Motorhome) lending tools and just generally being friendly. The showers and toilets are kept very clean and are heated 24/7.
There is not much to do on the site but it’s good to just relax and chat with some of the other campers. Some people have mentioned the proximity of residential properties, this is not a problem, they are very well kept, respectable, dare I say it “ older peoples” bungalows and there is no noise problem. In fact one of the residents very kindly lent us an extension cable which was generous of her. Dogs are welcome.
We will certainly return.

Nothing. My booking was cancelled by the site.

I booked several months before my stay because of a friend's 70th birthday party nearby on Easter Monday.
Days before my intended visit I received a call from Woodlands Country Park telling me that the site was shutting until May because of the potential for flooding. This left me no opportunity to re-book elsewhere as it was Easter time. NB: It wasn't even that wet at the time so in my opinion the site should not take any bookings until May any year if it is so susceptible to flooding. After all it rains every Spring..!!
Not only that, I later contacted Pitch-Up to ask for my deposit to be returned as it was not me that cancelled the booking. Pitch-Up returned my email saying somebody would look into my issue and I have heard nothing at all since.

What liked was the site gave me two weeks notice that they would not be opening their field due to the condition of the field after all the rain we had

Cleanliness of outside and shower/toilet block. Warm toilet/shower block. Lovely ducks and coots come up to the van.

We received a warm welcome from the warden and the reception staff. They were very helpful when we discovered we had forgotten our tent pegs for the awning. The bathroom facilities were very clean and the shower was lovely and hot. We would definitely go again.
