First time here, easy check in. Friendly host. Everything explained to us (where this are) we visited for an exhibition and was able to walk there in a few minutes despite some reviews stating it took 30 mins to walk round!

The noise from the main road during the night- nothing the campsite can do about this. Just our preference. WiFi signal isn’t great but never usually is around the hills- I was here for work but just about managed.

no access to site without disturbing the warden in the evenings due to the new barrier. some sort of keypad or fob needs to be provided in line with other barriered sites

George the warden and his wife are very visible on site. At least once in my stay they check to see if everything is ok.

Location to Showground couldn't be closer.

There have been upgrades since my last visit. Bathrooms repainted and new flooring. New gates as well. It was much needed and really improves the site.

It is a basic site and can get busy during events.Its also near a road. George will do his best to place you on a pitch to suit you, but be aware it can get noisy from the events and the road. (we had the pony club tannoy from 8am and music into the evening from both the horse event and the Landrover event.)

A designated area for children to play - kick ball etc would be nice. As children currently play around the campers. There's always been plenty of space, so not been a issue - just something that might be welcomed in busy months.

Good site for visiting show ground events. Very clean toilet blocks. Facilities adequate for short stay.

Nowhere to empty grey water. Dog waste bin overflowing and sited next to general waste. Although the site was clean of dog poo’s would be better sited in middle of area and more provided.

Very tidy, well kept site. Plenty of space. New toilet facilities a great improvement.

The new showers could do with somewhere to put dry clothes - just a chair outside each cubicle would be a great help.

George was very helpful and friendly, well maintained site, level pitches, busy but quite and newly refurbished toilets and shower block as an added extra. Would definitely come again.

Great site, very clean with large pitches and reliable power. Heed what they say about 25m power cables though, you may be a long way from the power box, yes, that's metres, not feet. Taxis come to the site entrance if requested and plenty of places to go in the town. Very friendly and helpful staff, perfect for the showground although walking access may be a long way depending on entrance required
