Peaceful location. Lovely grounds with ample space for camping/campervan.
Sitting by the lake, the horses, lovely owners.

Good transport links to Chester for those not wanting to drive.

We arrived midweek but I understand that there are additional events/facilities at times of a weekend.

Already booked a return visit.

Beautiful site with lake and plenty of rustic charm set in stunning countryside and excellent host.

Left hand shower didn't get warm and wasps nest in right hand shower.

The campsite is really quiet and tidy. Lots to do for the children.

Quietness of site with an allocated tent pitch. Bar open on Saturday night. Well maintained site with clean toilet and shower facilities.
Freezer for ice packs and fridge for food was a bonus on a hot weekend.
Friendly welcome on arrival from Lynden. We stayed to go to Chester races, great location.

Only issue was that the site doesn’t have big groups, but the three tent pitches were all part of one group and set up/acted as one group a tents in one space, food, fire etc. Bit noisy on night and first thing in morning. Once they left it was so much better. Didn’t ruin the holiday but not as quiet as we thought it would have been.

The toilet facilities and showers were clean and well maintained, nice even pitches with plenty of space. The bar was open on the nights we stayed which is an added bonus. Owners were very helpful and accommodating, overall an excellent site.

Really welcoming owners, great quiet site yet so close to the centre of Chester. This is my second weekend there in a row. Clean toilets and showers and it’s great when the bar is open, having a pint by the little lake. Will definitely be coming back again

Jess was so welcoming when we arrived.
Site is immaculate toilets showers and washing area all spotless. Bins emptied regular too. Phone charging area and lovely little tables and chairs by the lake. We loved the no cars by the pitches just made it feel more peaceful. Will definitely recommend to friends.
