We booked as a group of old school friend with our partners and children we wanted a smaller site near to home as my husband needed to commute to work. The site was perfect. Gorgeous views and lots of space. The family running the site we’re friendly and welcoming and ran a pizza van on Friday. The facilities were kept clean and the showers were hot. There were plenty of electrical hookups and water. There were shops nearby and we enjoyed walks nearby

Only two toilets for women and two showers, so sometimes had to wait a bit for these facilities.

Only one sink by loos to brush teeth, no hooks anywhere in toilet block to hang wash bag or towel.

Food van that opened on site on Friday night took two hours to cook the pizzas and chips we ordered. Kept being told the food was coming and yet had to return three times to ask where it was. Wish I hadn't bothered ordering anything.

It was a well maintained pod we were allocated with the basic features required, kettle, microwave, sink and running hot water!
The shower and toilets (very near) were clean and well maintained!

It was situation on the farm with wonderful beautiful views of the area, very relaxing and tranquill!

There was a log fire available if requried and an enclosed area for the kids and dog to play in and kept safe

My child had the pleasure of eeding the farm animals which he really enjoyed, everyone was friendly and accomodating!

The location meant we could pick and choose activities from parks, walking, River Eden, nearby villages, pubs and routes to areas like Gretna Green!

Highly recommend this stay and we will be definatley back next year!

Great area , lovely hosts. Showers were excellent. Very clean facilities .
Very family orientated.
This was a base to walk scaffel pike but you could see the abundance of animals , horses sheep cows in the adjacent fields. A++++

Liked the people that ran the site and plenty of facilities that were kept tidy! Close to everything by car

Walks from the site aren’t the best so have to drive somewhere

Owners were great really friendly site

Facilities are basic but they are obviously still quite a new campsite and just starting up

They couldn’t do enough to help, our car broke down and they offered to take me for supplies if I needed anything

Owner very helpful. Horses, cattle, sheep in surrounding fields.

Only two showers for over 15 pitches which caused queues outside. Could do with something on shower cubicle door to show it is being used as people kept trying the handle whilst I was in the shower.
Visitors left behind items not removed from kitchen area or shower.
Rusty sink drainer.
Dogs running around field, not on leads. One dog came onto our pitch looking for food as we were cooking.
Sign on farm gate informing guests to enter would be helpful.

We have a dog and love how the Glamping pods have your own private enclosed garden where he can run around free. The toilet and shower facilities are very clean and the overall area is also very clean. We have been here twice now for our yearly get away with our dog and we will be returning next year too.

This site was beautiful. We arrived and was left to our own devices. We were 3 families in 3 tents electric pitch up. Farm was a working farm, always working around us. Fields right outside our tents as we opened up and had sheep or cows there every morning. Would recommend this campsite. We would go back if we was to travel up north again. Toilets and showers a short distance. All working.

Not nothing to dislike.
