Les Rives du Lac

Les Rives du Lac has the warm weather of the Provence in a mountainous landscape, in a tiptop base for outdoor pursuits with many accessible directly from or close to the site: try swimming in the lake, fishing, hiking, cycling, mountain biking, treetop adventure climbing courses, horse and pony riding, miniature golf, pedalo boating... Too much activity for one trip? Potter around the Provençal villages instead, seeing where your car leads you around the local gorges, rock formations, bee and cheese farms, old churches, and castles (many of them hosting music festivals throughout the summer). Many markets selling local produce are around too, such as the Marché de Gap, the biggest market in the Hautes-Alpes region, which runs on Saturday mornings in the main square.
