- Green countryside site by a fishing and boating river
- Half an hour from Saarbrücken and an hour from Strasbourg and Metz
- Two playgrounds, summer snack bar and 200km bike/hiking trail nearby
Over 200 kilometres of French countryside bike and hike trail are easily accessible from friendly Parc Résidentiel de Loisirs St Vit in Lorraine's Moselle department – or might you prefer taking to the water at the river right next to the site for some pedal boating or fishing? Or crossing the border to the land of Germany… Saarbrücken is an easy half-hour drive away.
Parc Résidentiel de Loisirs St Vit is a peaceful and spacious site for families and couples, edged by the water with a swathe of green forest behind, in green countryside surroundings about an hour from Strasbourg, and 150 metres from a bike path of over 200 kilometres. Guests of all sizes can fish or boat right from the site, hire a bike to tackle the many local trails, or get active at the pétanque court, ping pong tables or two well-equipped playgrounds. Bike rental and pedalo hire are available, and watersports activities run in summer.
The Deux Tours restaurant serves traditional cuisine, homemade dishes, desserts and evening pizza, and outdoor tables are around the site for pitchside picnics. For more foodie supplies, a bakery is in the local village, a supermarket is within a couple of kilometres and the shops and restaurants of the town of Sarreguemines are five kilometres away.

Local attractions
Parc Résidentiel de Loisirs St Vit is in the Moselle department, home of the Moselle river, towns including Thionville and Forbach, and AOC Moselle wine. A cinema, marina and park are a short drive away at Sarreguemines.
The site's local commune of Neufgrange is about an hour's drive from department capital Metz, where sights to see include the spectacular sixteenth-century Saint-Étienne de Metz cathedral with the biggest expanse of stained glass windows in the world. A couple of other decent sights are around in Metz for record breakers: the oldest church in France in the Basilica of Saint-Pierre-aux-Nonnains (fourth century AD) and the country's oldest working opera house.
Across the border, the Saarland Therme spa and wellness centre is at Kleinblittersdorf 12 kilometres away and the city of Saarbrücken with its eighteenth-century castle is about another 15 minutes' drive north. Strasbourg is about an hour's drive away.
Also have a look around Fort Casso, ten kilometres from the German border between Bitche and Sarreguemines: it's one of the strongholds of the fortified World War II Maginot Line running from the North Sea to the beaches of the Mediterranean.
The site has easy access to a cycling and walking path of over 200 kilometres.

When can I check in and check out of Parc Résidentiel de Loisirs St Vit?
Camping and touring Arrive: 9:30 a.m. – Anytime Depart by: 9 a.m.
We regret that we were unable to meet your expectations because our pond has unfortunately been overgrown with algae for 4 years now, despite our efforts to continuously remove them in order to allow the Pedalos activity that you did not have time to enjoy during your holidays.
It is true that for the moment there are only the 3 ping pong tables, petanque area, 2 playgrounds, bike rental and a bike path of more than 250km with the start only 150m from our entrance, a snack bar.
It is true that your young people would have liked to fish or swim and that the algae completely discouraged them! We understand.
With the work we will do on the pond if possible for 2020 + we hope to open a swimming pool with beach and other playgrounds for teens who can if you want to come back, satisfy you, we hope.
In the meantime, we wish you all the best.
greetings
C.G.
