Browse the boulevards, scale Montmartre… and unwind in this secluded forest haven, an hour’s drive from the centre of Paris.
Camping Naturiste Héliomonde is a family-friendly naturist resort, tucked away in the nature-filled forest of the Essonne region, about 10 minutes’ drive from the village of Saint-Chéron. This secluded and wooded site in Île-de-France is focused on relaxation, comfort and healthy living in a clothes-free environment.
Facilities include a heated summer pool and paddling pool with a sandy beach area for swimming, splashing and sunbathing, and a relaxation centre for steam baths, saunas and massage. Exercise classes are laid on in the gym and pool areas in the summer months too.
For those with a competitive streak, tennis courts, a pétanque court and ping pong tables are to hand; also energetically, hiking and cycling trails are in the surrounding forest for walkers and cyclists (mountain bikes can be hired from the site).
Barbecues are allowed, but if you want a break from self catering, the site’s restaurant and bar serves breakfast, lunch and evening meals as well as snacks and drinks, and there are eateries in nearby Saint-Chéron and Breux-Joy.

Local attractions
Camping Naturiste Héliomonde is encircled by a number of regional parks and forest areas, with loads of walking, cycling and simple wandering available in the lot.
By car, it's half an hour’s drive to D’huison-Longueville, a decent spot for town strolls and picnics (make sure you sample the local Gâtinais honey), as well as the hub for a number of hikes through the surrounding Val d’Essonne countryside. A similar distance away, the equestrian centre at Orveau is a nifty base for exploring the area from the saddle.
It’s 45 minutes to Milly-la-Forêt, a pleasant town famed for its local produce and for being on the edge of the Gâtinais-Français Regional Nature Park. A little further away but very doable in a day is Fontainebleu, a heady mix of forest hikes, boulder scrambling and tours of the château, Napoleon’s number one country bolthole.
The site is an hour's drive from Paris too, or slightly longer (but quite possibly a lot more relaxing) if you take the train from Saint-Chéron. With boulevards, museums, river cruises and cathedrals all to investigate, you could easily come every day for a whole summer and sort stuff to do.
On a grand scale of their own and ever popular with younger visitors, the site is an hour and 10 minutes to Disneyland and an hour and 20 to Parc Astérix.
