Local attractions

Le Périgord is renown for its Grottes de Lascaux, beautiful caves where you can see prehistorical paints, part of the World Heritage List by UNESCO. A lot of the villages in the area are renown for their picturesque architecture, medieval monuments, imposing castles and fortresses and mystic churches. Go check out Bergerac, Sarlat, Les Eyzies, Rocamadour or Padirac (also known for the superb underground caves) with their enchanting city centres, local markets and great restaurants. For hiking and cycling, head to the forests of Landais and Double, covering most of the two departments.
