Route directions

Caerddaniel Holiday Home Park is situated on the Cardigan Bay coast just 2.5 miles north of Barmouth, on the Harlech Road A496 (bus route). By Car When you have reached Barmouth, follow the signs for Harlech (do not follow the beach signs in Barmouth) and pass through the town. Once you have passed through the town, you will come to a sign that says "Llanaber". Keep going along this main road. Pass the Church on the left hand side which takes you up the hill. Follow the road further until you come out of the 40 mph speed limit and reach a long straight. Look to your left and you will see a lot of Mobile Holiday Homes. Take the next left where you see the Caerddaniel Holiday Home Park sign. By Train Exit at the Train Station in Barmouth and go to the Bus Stop adjacent to it, and get on the bus heading towards Harlech. Ask the driver for Caerddaniel. There is a designated stop at the entrance to the Park. If you have any problems you can call 01341 280611 on your mobile and we will give you more directions if you need them. Local attractions

There are plenty of things to do and a wide variety of attractions to visit in this beautiful part of Wales. You could try one of the many footpaths which offer excellent views of the countryside such as the “Mawddach Trail” over Barmouth Bridge or the “Panorama Mountain Walk”, both with views over the Mawddach Estuary, and savour the unique and historic town of Barmouth where the mountains meet the sea For mountain biking enthusiasts there is the Coed y Brenin Centre, which offers forestry and hill trails varying from easy family runs to the expert “Bull Run”. It was the first forest to be developed for the sport of mountain biking and to this day retains its reputation as the sports premier location. Combine your day in the outdoors with a little adventure and not only can you appreciate the breathtaking scenery, but you can also enjoy a smattering of tree-top high-wires, zip wires and tricky crossings! The UK's No.1 tree-top adventure can be found at Coed-y-Brenin. For more information please go to www.goape.co.uk Enjoy a round of golf on the wooded hillside course at Dolgellau or at the splendid Royal St. David’s at Harlech. For the less experienced golfer, or those who wish to have a go at something less challenging, there is a small course at Fairbourne which is ideal for the whole family. There are many castles that stand guard along Cardigan Bay and beyond. Harlech Castle, just 7 miles away, is one of the most famous in Wales and after seven centuries, is still an impressive sight. There are also Criccieth and Caernarfon Castles within easy reach and many more. Gwynedd is home to many of the finest miniature railway lines in the country, all of which offer a different and unique adventure. Snowdonia Mountain Railway takes you up to the top of Snowdon, whereas the Tal-y-Llyn railway takes you through breathtaking scenery and passes the delightful Dolgoch Falls. There are also Porthmadog Railway, Bala Lake Railway and many more that offer a great day out for all the family. Portmeirion Italianate Village, slate caverns at Llanfair and Blaenau Ffestiniog, and Stately Homes and Garden’s, are but some of the many other places to visit that offer different experiences for everyone. There are also the many beaches along the coast to relax on as well as many fishing spots on the local rivers, estuary and the sea.
