Route directions

From Wareham: pass Swanage Middle School on the left. Continue to traffic island at Herston Cross. Swing right through the traffic island complex, bearing left into the High Street and then take the second right into Steer Road. At the top bear left into Wills Road and then left again into Priests Road. Take the next right into Panorama Road and proceed on to the Holiday Park. From Bournemouth (via Ferry): follow the road through Studland leading into Swanage. Continue along the seafront as far as the clock tower turning right into Victoria Avenue. Follow this road down past Triangle Garage and over the bridge down to the traffic island at Herston Cross. Swing left through the traffic island complex, bearing left into the High Street and then take the second right into Steer Road. At the top bear left into Wills Road and then left again into Priest Road. Take the next right into Panorama Road and proceed on to the Holiday Park.

There is also a plenitude of historical and fun attractions for you to discover. Swanage has a stunning golden sandy beach and it's just a stroll away from the park. Other beautiful bays and beaches nearby include Studland, Lulworth Cove, Chapman's Pool, Kimmeridge, Sandbanks and Shell Bay. Durlston Country Park, a large nature reserve, is adjacent to the town of Swanage and is one of the best bird and dolphin watching spots in England. This superb area of coastal grassland has lots of activities for children and offers numerous walks, including a woodland trail. Wareham Forest, the Studland and Godlingston Heath Nature Reserve and the chalk hills of the Dorset Downs are just some of the other beautiful landscapes nearby. Explore quaint rural villages or bustling seaside resorts. Swanage itself is a town rich in history and architecture, and offers numerous shops and restaurants. Poole and its vibrant harbour with shops and restaurants is a short distance away, as is the market town of Wareham with its architectural interest and beautiful spot on the banks of the River Frome. Historic attractions nearby include Durlston Castle and the majestic ruin of the 1000-year-old Corfe Castle, which you can travel to via steam train from Swanage. The Blue Pool, a unique lake which constantly changes colour, is another must-see. Visit St Aldhel's Head for spectacular views over the sea, or hop on a boat trip over to Brownsea Island where you will discover 50 acres of pinewood heathland, beaches and wildlife.
