Overall a very nice relaxing stay.10/06/2021

The location was ideal with local amenities a 3 minute drive or short walk away, and a choice of stunning beaches within 15-20min drive. The campsite felt adequately spaced out with lots of free areas for the children to run around. A really good site far enough away from roads etc to be able to chill. The owners Hannah and Seb were very friendly and welcoming and always on hand to help with anything from advising the best beaches to adjusting the hot water. The showers and long drops were clean and tidy.

    Disliked:

The only minor criticism would be the levelling off of the long drops and washing up area to make them easier to use, and perhaps a step for the children to be able to better reach the seat.

Hannah (host of The Shire) was extremely welcoming. Our little hut was set up nicely, it was clean and had enough space for our travel cot for our young baby. The grounds are also very beautiful and peaceful.

    Disliked:

Site facilities are basic, which is not a problem unless you are expecting something more.

Overall a great first experience of booking through Pitchup.com and Scorrier Estate Camping. Booking was really simple and easy as we were looking for multiple units per pitch for family to stay on the same pitch. The pitch was great value for money and very well maintained. Questions prior to arrival regarding the pitch and parking were answered promptly by the owner Hannah and detailed information about our stay was shared a couple of days before we arrived which was really useful!
The postcode took us straight to the campsite with a sign along with names and pitch numbers - very straightforward finding pitches as clearly labelled. The pitches were a great size and we couldn't fault the distance between each pitch. The owners Hannah and Seb were on site when we arrived and were exceptionally friendly and welcoming. There were a couple of composting toilets close to the pitches, not for everyone but we felt this added to our camping experience! We thoroughly enjoyed our peaceful stay and waking to the sounds of the birds coming from the nearby woodland area. A good location and short drive from the A30 and local attractions, unfortunately we had a busy weekend and didn't take advantage of the discount offers but am sure they would have been great.
This was the first weekend that the owners had taken bookings for Scorrier Estate and they were working tirelessly to get everything ready and in working order for when campers arrived. We noticed new additions being added to the campsite whilst we were there including hand gel and additional bits being added to the showers. We really enjoyed our stay and would love to return again, we will be recommending this campsite to family and friends. Unfortunately I am unable to attach photos to this review due to the size of the photographs but our tent pitch was great and the camping pods and bell tents looked great too!

    Disliked:

There was a problem with the water pressure and temperature of the showers. However, we could not fault Hannah or Seb as they arrived at the campsite within 15 minutes after we contacted them to let them know. Again, this was the first weekend open to the public and it was trial and error to get the showers working properly. We will not let this put us off staying again as Hannah and Seb were so very welcoming and were there as soon as we needed anything. If we didn't encounter the problem with the showers then we would not have hesitated in rating Scorrier Estate Camping with five stars.
