Powered grass caravan site
Liked: Clean showers and toilets.
Disliked: Un level pitches, very close together and situated under mature pine trees that shed onto the caravan roof all the time. Also when it was wet constant dripping of dew on to caravan roof that kept us awake all night due to being situated under trees.

Liked: What a delightful venue. Our welcome was warm by all the staff and owners, very relaxed and friendly. The showers were like a mini spa, brilliantly spaced out with power showers. Really enjoyed our time here.
Disliked: There is not much to dislike. Everything was very practical, clean and well laid out. If I had one wish it would be that the pool opened earlier but hey the staff work so hard that I wouldn't want them to have to do extra hours its just me being an early bird!

Liked: Excellent view from our pitch at the top of the campsite.
Disliked: Our pitch (23A) was mostly wet bare earth (presumably from tents) - we parked our campervan to the side of the pitch on grass. Facilities for males at Wheal Rodney have always been somewhat basic - minimal room in the 3 showers - only 2 toilets - with large numbers on site suggest this is inadequate.

From the manager: We are very glad that you have returned to our small site again this year. We are sorry that you disliked your pitch. Guests have been camping with us since March. Although we try to rotate the pitches this is not always possible in August so a few of the pitches have some bald patches. The grass to the side of you pitch was actually part of your pitch. You were parked in your pitch for your stay with us. Cornwall County Council require campsites of our size to have one male toilet, one urinal, 1 male shower and two male hand basins. We have two male toilets, three urinals, three male showers, three sinks and a separate baby changing cubical with sink within in the male facilities. We would of course love more but we do not have the room. Having just taken over the site in March we have been unable to make any changes to any of the facilities, we are hoping to do some needed upgrades during the winter season ready for next year. Hope to see you again.
