General

  • Peaceful and private park in a Cornish valley
  • A few miles from the Eden Project
  • Adventure playground, games room and spotless amenities

Sometimes all you want is peace and quiet. Yes, even if you’re going to Cornwall and thousands of other holidaymakers have evidently had the same idea at the same time.

But peace is possible among the madding crowds, as can be seen with a trip to Lanlivery’s Eden Valley Holiday Park, a secluded site in a Cornish valley surrounded by trees and rhododendron bushes. And when you’re ready to brave the throngs, the park is handy for the highlights of Cornwall – including the famous Eden Project a few miles away.

As you might deduce, Eden Valley is geared towards families and those who aren’t into noisy clubhouses or flashy evening entertainment. It’s a peaceful place set up to be as private as possible, with a select number of pitches in each linked wooded paddock (there’s also a dog-walking paddock so even family friends can get a bit of peace).

Kids have a big playground on site with a woodland course, swings, bridges and a fort… just the place for extra privacy… And if you're feeling competitive? Try the indoor games room with its pool table and ping pong for family challenges.

Amenities are kept to a spotless standard by Darren, Ginny and the team, and include a shower block with roomy cubicles each with their own toilet, sink and power shower. A launderette is also on site along with separate areas for washing up and vegetable prep. All in all, a little peace of paradise…

Great park, friendly staff, fab location, facilities top notch, showers were just like at home - hot with great pressure (and the radio on in the loos so you can sing til your heart's content!), plenty of water/bin stations and they recycle! Well equipped park for the kids and good size dog walking field. Would definitely stay here again and will gladly recommend to others

We were warmly welcomed. All site was clean and all utilities were clearly marked. The site is surrounded by woods, you can hear the owls singing and baby hares running around at night time. There is a large play area, well maintained and very entertaining. The toilets and shower facilities were clean and uncrowded.

Loved everything about this site. Very clean, great pitches and every section has a flower name. Great play area if you have children . Shower block very clean. Field to let your dog stretch his/her legs. Was quite surprised with the whole place as we could not get booked in to any campsites and this one popped up and so glad it did. Easy access to get any where . Nice pub up the top of lane .

Friendly staff, well kept, attractive site with large hedges and trees dividing each group of pitches. Showers were good. Cleaning and Covid measures were all well done. Uphill 10 minute walk on a narrow road to Lanlivery is part of an historic trail - “Saints walk”. There was a very small pop up shop on the way selling fresh vegetables, jams etc. The Crown inn and Lanlivery church in the tiny village are both buildings with a rich history going back centuries. Extremely quiet and peaceful area.

Thankyou for your review. The walk up to the village is a lovely walk, you can also walk down to the river, both on a non busy road.
We look forward to seeing you again.

Local attractions

Three of Cornwall’s major attractions are within a quick drive – the Eden Project, The Lost Gardens of Heligan and Crealy Great Adventure Park – but a recommended start is staying local and heading over the hill a mile and a half away to the ancient town of Lostwithiel, set in the Fowey river valley.

After going local, go either north or south: north will take you to Bodmin Moor, home of the fabled beast and the place of legend, tors and Brown Willy, and to the National Trust’s country house Lanhydrock with sculptures, woodland trails, adventure playground and lavish gardens. Or head to Padstow, Newquay and Tintagel for seafood, surfing and swashbuckling tales of King Arthur; the Camel Trail runs near Padstow for horse riding, cycling and walking.

Going south, more biking and walking is along the China Clay Trail, along with digging into history at St Austell’s China Clay Country Park. The town of Looe is within easy reach along the coast for fishing, shark spotting and a 12-mile walk to Fowey along the South West Coast Path if you’re feeling so inclined.
