In a stunning location, on the waters edge of the remote island of St Agnes, Troytown Campsite enjoys incredible panoramic views across the Atlantic, the rugged western rocks and the uninhabited island of Annet. Wake up to the sound of the sea, spend your day relaxing by the clear water and white sands of the campsites own beach, then after some alfresco dining, watch the sunset from your tent, and count shooting stars in the night sky. A traditional granite building on the campsite houses our facilities for campers, which include: * Toilets, hot showers and hand-basins * Laundry facilities including a washing machine, tumble dryer and ironing facilities * Baby Changing Facilities * Electricity points for charging mobiles / laptops Troytown is also a working farm, with a small herd of Jersey and Ayrshire cows. We have a small farm shop on site which sells: * Luxury Troytown dairy ice-cream and sorbets made with our own milk and cream * Fresh Troytown milk, yogurt, clotted cream and butter, all produced in our dairy * A delicious range of Troytown reared beef and pork — steaks, sausages, burgers, mince and more! * Seasonal vegetables and fruit * We also stock a range of camping supplies including most types of camping fuel, BBQs, charcoal and washing powder. We offer a freezer block service.

Route directions

You travel to the Isles of Scilly by ship or helicopter from Penzance, or by plane from Lands End, Newquay, Exeter, Bristol or Southampton. These all arrive at the main island of St Mary’s, and from there it is just a fifteen-minute boat trip to St Agnes. Cars are left on the mainland. You can bring small trailers or trailer tents (up to 3 metres in length) by arrangement with the ferry company. Once you arrive on St Agnes at Per Conger quay, it is a 15 minute walk across the island to the site. We can arrange to transport for your luggage by tractor and trailer from the quay to the site. Once here, it is easiest to get around the island on foot, although some roads around the site are rough, so please bear this in mind if you have limited mobility. There are regular boat trips from St Agnes to other islands around Scilly and there are also sightseeing and fishing trips by boat around some of the more remote uninhabited islands.

Local attractions

The island is only one mile across so the many carns and coves can be explored on foot. St Agnes and the adjoining island of Gugh are beautiful and unspoilt, designated as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. They have a timeless quality that tempt visitors back year after year. St Agnes is the perfect place to relax and unwind. If you love the outdoors and adventure, this island has a rugged, natural landscape to explore. The clear waters are perfect for snorkelling, kayaking, fishing and swimming, and the beaches have beautiful white sand and are great for rock-pooling or just sitting and watching the ocean.
