Bowbrook Caravan and Camping: Aerial view from the south

General

  • Quiet, back to basics site between the Cotswolds and the Malvern Hills
  • A 15-minute drive to central Worcester or 35 minutes to Cheltenham
  • Direct access to the A44; one mile from the local railway station

Wandering through Western England is ever so agreeable. With direct access to the speedy A44, adults-only Bowbrook Caravan and Camping makes it a breeze to explore this neck of the woods, whether you've come in search of cosy Cotswolds villages, the rolling Malvern Hills or history-steeped cities like Worcester and Cheltenham.

This spacious, 30-acre site makes a fab base for hols in green surrounds: views here take in nearby Bredon Hill, a handsome farmhouse and fields with plenty of sheep. True to its name, Bowbrook Caravan and Camping is also home to a stream (a wildlife haven full of reeds, willows and the song of visiting birds). For another top riverside spot, head to the village of Wyre Piddle on the banks of the Avon (five minutes' drive).

This straightforward site keeps things simple with its facilities, which stretch to a modern toilet and shower block (with underfloor heating and disabled access to make things welcoming for all), a washing-up point and wifi access. Guests who need to stock up on food have several supermarkets within a 10-minute radius or can head to one of nearby Pershore's Georgian pubs for off-site eats (10 minutes). Dogs are welcome here, but please keep them on leads around the park.

A railway station is on hand a mile down the road, with regular services to Worcester, Oxford and several Cotswold towns.

Excellent site with generous sized hard standing pitch + some grass. Fully serviced. Made use of showers which are modern clean and had very hot water. Also good loos and a nice touch a ladies hair dryer although I didn't use it. Perfect for dogs with good walks.
There was wi-fi although we didn't require it.
Liked being able to choose our pitch from those available when we arrived.

Love the improvements to the site. The country walk is lovely and once the fruit trees are established it will be beautiful. The pond additions will also mature into a great place to sit.
Showers and toilets as usual spotlessly clean. Always enjoy our visits to this site

We used this site as a stopover as it is only about 5-10mins from the M5. Exceptionally neat and tidy with immaculate facilities. Level pitches - the ground was quite soggy but there had been a lot of rain!

Some individuals had washing machines, deep fat fryers and a whole host of other stuff outside. They were surly and at times rude. These caravans were also not meant to be there as they should've been on the sister site. It was conveyed by other caravan owners that this wasn't the first time as previously they'd had chosen running riot across the site. Odd relationship between sister site and Bowbrook.

We chose Bowbrook to try out our camper van for the first time, and were pleased with the site. It's well maintained with a new toilet/shower block; excellent showers and all very clean. The site wasn't full so there was no issue with using these. We were a little confused on arrival as we didn't know where to book in (as we've done on previous camping trips), so we just chose a pitch and set up. This seemed to be fine. The pitch was level and very close to the electric and water hook ups, which there were plenty of. The site is quiet, there is no entertainment or play area, which suited us fine. Will definitely use it again as it's in a good location too with easy access (driving) to nearby Pershore and other attractions.

    Disliked:

It is quite close to a main road (A44) and some noise was evident when sat outside. This wasn't an issue when inside our van with the doors closed, and didn't disturb our sleep.

What a fabulous find! The touring pitches are well-appointed and levelled, we didn't need the stabilisers at all. Toilet & Shower blocks are of high standard and clean. There were just a few campers when we were there. But when it gets busy, maybe one sink for washing up wouldn't be enough. The management is excellent. We received reminders of our booking and how to get in. There are useful numbers on the board like takeaways etc. You won't miss the walking paths as there are signs. Very good campsite indeed. We'll be back! 😁
