General

  • Small family-run and adults-only site in the hamlet of Weston
  • Well placed for walks around the Shropshire Hills
  • On a four-acre meadow with direct access to footpaths

If you’re a wanderer at heart, a stay at Weston House Caravan Site – an adults-only touring park (for motorhomes and caravans only) on a spacious four-acre meadow – will give your legs a good stretch.

Being in the Shropshire Hills Area of Outstanding Beauty, this is an excellent base for those planning to spend their days traipsing about on two feet: the Long Mynd, Brown Clee and Wenlock Edge are all within 20 minutes’ drive, and there are plenty of public footpaths easily accessible from your front door (also good news for travelling mutts in need of walkies).

The park is in the pretty Shropshire hamlet of Weston, 10 minutes’ drive from Much Wenlock, and a mere 100 metres from the B4368 – so getting in and out is straightforward as there’s no need to navigate your van along any winding lanes or through narrow gateways.

Once you’re here, the place is peaceful and the pitches are equipped with 15-amp electrical hookups, plus they have plenty of room for awnings, barbecues and outdoor furniture.

Eager to put those feet up after all the trekking? Wander down to the wildlife pond for quiet times chilling out on a bench seeing what you can see. If you prefer your waterside times to involve angling, relocate to a coarse fishing lake a couple of miles away, and if your walking efforts have left you in need of a pint and a plate of grub, It’ll take you about 10 minutes to drive to a country pub.

Please note

This site has no on-site toilet and shower facilities.

    Friendly owner and atmosphere.
    Wildlife pond on site
    Peace and quiet.
Location, and easy to find from instructions given.
Probably wouldn't stay again but not because there was anything wrong, but because we like to visit different areas.
It's good but has potential to be better,
For example a mowed pathway through the wildlife Field.

    Disliked:

Could have done with being a bit more level.
It would be ok with a caravan. We were on ramps but still couldn't get level.

    Very small adults only site.
    Peace and quiet. Laid back.
    Lovely owner.
We found a really nice woodland walk if you head up the lane towards Ditton Priors. The entrance is on the left hand side.
We just stayed the one night as it was our first ever trip out in our caravan.
Pretty pond area, nice to sit and watch the wildlife.
Facilities were clean and adequate for the number of pitches - it's a tiny site.
    Suited our needs perfectly.

That's great that you enjoyed your visit. Thank you so much for taking the time to leave a review, also your tip about the nearby woodland walk is helpful. Hope you are able to stay at Weston again in the future!

Peaceful setting with beautiful surroundings. Friendly welcome.

    Disliked:

Hard to find walks from the site that were not on roads. The public pathways were not maintained so found ourselves walking in fields that were in-passable.

From the manager...

Thanks for your review and the photos you included are great :)
I agree that the closest public footpaths are not well maintained; this is because the local council no longer monitor them and some of our local farmers take advantage of that. However it is possible to take shorter walks on our land without using the road, as shown in your lovely picture of our neighbour's alpacas. Also it is a very short ride in the car to the famous Wenlock Edge, the Brown Clee (the highest point in Shropshire), and the Iron Age fort at Abdon with incredible views - these popular areas have a good access and are well worth a trip!

That was small site, with lovely views. well kept grounds. And lesley owner was lovely came round everyday to check that everything was ok with us.

    Disliked:

only dislike was that had only one shower and toilet to share with other campers for men and women. Bit awkward if need toilet desperately. and someone in shower. shower could do with door to lock rather than just a curtain although can lock main door in room.

From the manager...

Thank you for leaving a review with positive comments. Although we do have one shower and toilet on site, our Pitchup listing clearly states 'no onsite toilet and shower facilities'. This avoids disappointment. As a small 5 pitch site - where most of our visitors have their own facilities - having just one loo and shower enables us to continue to offer excellent value for money.
