Location was great, good facilities, great entertainment

Pity WiFi was not included

The toilets and shower facilities were amazing and the staff at the pottery were brilliant.

It's a free for all on pitches you don't get a number it's just go choose one if you can get one.
Also the Monday to Sunday entertainment advertised in the toilet block is incorrect information.
Noisy campers allowed till quite late and 4am wake up calls from other campers shouting on. Patrol go around a lot and yet they don't get told.

Not much to like.

The facilities are disgusting.
Extremely loud music from the onsite club until 12.
The pool was filthy.
Paid extra to bring my 2 small dogs to find out we can't take them inside except for the "Irish bar".
The Irish bar, has no bar and stinks.

The pitch was solid and extremely hard to get our pegs on the ground.

The whole site is tired and filthy.

The disabled toilet/ shower room is open to everyone and used by everyone so gets filthy quickly.

The pizza van was vile and we found mould on our chicken from the BBQ pizza.

All the outside and inside tables are sticky and need a good clean.

I would definitely avoid this campsite.

The showers and toilets were cleaned regularly 👌 (small fault no were to put your towels or soaps ect) there was good space for tents & cars without feeling to close to the next tent... plenty of bins around for rubbish... food in the restaurant was good quality & service

Large group of noisy neighbours still going at 3am waking most of the kids up around them & still continued after security finally told them to turn the music off & several reports of several different people. on arrival was told just pitch up were ever you want I said so I really I shouldn't of payed the extra for electricity

The swimming pool was ok, small park for kids and entertainment throughout the afternoon/ night.
The staff were very friendly and welcoming especially in the arcade which was good value for money

The security didn’t do anything to stop antisocial behaviour in the toilets, we had to leave prematurely due to numerous other campers causing disruptions until gone 1am and when we complained nothing was done. Complained to reception and again nothing was done, this went on for a few nights and made the stay unbearable for our autistic child.
The toilets didn’t have hand soap to wash your hands and the showers were dirty because there was no where to put your shoes when you showered and your clothes got wet because they were small.
We wouldn’t visit again as we were fobbed off and didn’t feel valued. We didnt feel it was safe for our autistic child in the evenings.
Tent pitches were bogged out after a little rain or very stoney, left with holes in the bottom of our ground Matt from two days stay.

Washing and toilet facilities were great. Clean and well maintained.

Lovely outdoor forrest area

Good number of electrical points and drinking water points

Staff seemed relaxed and not to strict about chosen pitches

Activities staff seemed a little disinterested (perhaps inexperienced) and were not very engaging with young children.

Washing machines didn't work until our last day so not ideal to come home with a family load of washing.

Swimming sesion was cut short by 15 mins at the end of the day and jacuzzi was closed. Didn't like the communal showers in the swimming area and I think there should be an option for separate showers for privacy.

Large camping parties were very noisy at night, playing very loud music into the late hours, which was not ideal for little ones trying to sleep, or adults who wanted to enjoy the peaceful outdoors. Staff did try to patrol this but didn't manage to stop it.

Signage needs improvement as driving to the touring site and finding the exit was always tricky (not one EXIT sign anywhere).
We didn't find the play area until our last day...a simple sign would have helped.

Activities for children are not explained...what's involved and for which age range for example.
Staff also made a huge fuss about us loosing our ticket to collect painted pots too...unnecessary and unhelpful.

I reported there was no fire extinguisher opposite plot 15 a total of 3 times at reception and when we left there was still no extinguisher replaced which I find very dangerous...it would have been the first one we'd run to in an emergency.

Staff in general seem a bit lapse and disinterested.

We loved our time at solway. 16 of us went and we are all planning on coming back at Easter. The facilities were immaculately clean. The staff were wonderful. The choice of activities was fab. The entertainment was brilliant.
