Dirty n very cold swimming pool, and very intimidating with the amount of gangs and teenagers hanging around toilet blocks in night n cycling n screaming all around. It's like a gypsy camp and all needs updating . I woke to to the smell of weed and people having cans of Carling for breakfast not something I want my child around.

Close to the M4 for a fast getaway!

OMG!! Avoid at all costs. My wife and I are well seasoned travellers and seen some things in our time but this was on a different level. The first thing I’d say is ignore all the positive reviews including the ridiculous 10 out of 10 scores and just trust that all the negative ones are correct. If people are recommending this place it’s either because they live there (and I mean live) or there is an ulterior reason. The site is literally packed with caravans that are permanent homes and poorly maintained. It has the feeling of a travellers site and we didn’t feel safe although came to no harm. We definitely weren’t going to erect the awning for two reasons. Firstly because within 10 minutes of arriving we knew we wouldn’t be staying the second night and also we doubted very much if any of the contents would still be there by the morning.
The chip shop was a plus with generous portions but even that meal was spoiled. Returning to our camper with our food there were Police vans everywhere and some poor soul was having his face cleaned up obviously after an assault! The air was pungent with the smell of weed, feral kids were roaming everywhere and we just couldn’t wait to get from there. The toilets couldn’t be used early the following (we hardly slept) as the floors and toilets were covered in vomit and faeces (I’m not lying!) I should have taken my own advice of course and trusted the negative reviews and done some more research. The pictures paint a different story but it’s interesting to note that a search on Tripadvisor yields no results for the site. I agree with a previous comment that it shouldn’t be listed on Pitch Up but maybe that’s too draconian and ultimately it’s down to individuals to admit their mistakes, learn from them and move on.

The guy that checked me in seemed nice.

Toilets like a dockyard toilets. Weird intimidating vibe. Lots of kids running around screaming and making a lot of noise. Loose dogs running around barking. Could be a traveller’s site.

It’s was almost like a a gypo site..
There’s was a lad in a red pick up truck that works there on about cocaine to other guest! the lack off security there is beyond..behind my porch all the fence is broken so anyone from the outside could easily gain access to the site in the night..infact there was someone walking around late at night..it’s meant to be a family camp site it didn’t fell that way at all..I’d never stay again..we had people partying late at night music really loud..there wasn’t must at all there for kids..especially kids with additional needs, there is a lot off abandoned static homes other nature was taking over the homes there..was meant to stay a full weekend but we cut it short and stayed one night only due to the party goers and loud music.

It was terrifying, truly. Look at the Google reviews for this place before considering booking... It's not somewhere you want to go if you enjoy feeling safe. If you love being stared at and intimidated then crack on. Really think pitchup should remove this site from their listings.
Majority made up of permanent residents. The place is insanely scruffy and any visitor feels immediately out of place and like you're intruding in a community you don't belong to. When drove past our pitch in the end as a group of twenty or so adults stared at us as we drove up whilst they had a BBQ set up on our pitch. I haven't bothered requesting a refund after reading the Google reviews.

Don’t really leave reviews but wanted to let people know what this one is like. First impressions seconds into driving past the gate were “WHAT THE F#*K HAVE WE BOOKED INTO HERE”!! It is essentially a traveller site with some grass in the middle they make money from letting it out to unsuspecting campers. The “locals” just seem to park where they want. When asked politely if they could move so you can get on the pitch, they do, but aren’t happy about it. We were touring so just needed it for the showers however we may have been better of using wet wipes!! Luke warm and very little pressure. We had booked to stay there for a night later in the week too on our way back but after only 30 mins there had made our minds up there wasn’t a hope in hell we were going back. We slept in a layby on a main road and felt so much safer!!!

We found the Park very comfortable and spacious pitches.

We enjoyed and made use of all the facilities including the swimming pool and the fish shop. We enjoyed the evening entertainment in the clubhouse.

An excellent number of toilets and showers.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would certainly be returning.

Men's toilets were not always stocked with toilet paper or soap.
